Josef Melichar is the player who connected the Jagr Era to the Crosby Era.

Great stuff Jags.Did a beautiful job mentioning all the great guys including the ones who couldn't be there in person or have passed.Respect for Pittsburgh and the Fans. And finished it up right by honoring his parents.

I'll never forget watching that team play the clinching game for the first cup in a dive bar in Emelenton, PA with my father-in-law an brother-in-law. Fantastic memory.

That was a pretty great ceremony. Brought back a lot of memories from when I was a kid. Jagr did a great job, and it was cool to see so many legends there. Too bad he couldn’t suit up for tonight!

This was absolutely epic, you could see though Jagr was doing all he could to not cry, not comfortable with holding speeches even if it was great, I reckon he just wanted to make sure to get his speech in without breaking down, its ok to shed a tear Jaromir

For real, is he gonna take a shift? "Well sure, we just retired the number, but that's only for everybody else ..."

Is anyone recording this entire broadcast including all the pre-ceremony and after the ceremony until drop of puck etc?
The ceremony itself will be easily available for sure, but I´l would like to save the rest as well!

Yeah for sure, especially when he mentioned that his father passed last year.

Was it just me or did Edzo refer to Jagr as "Geno" on the video?

That was a nickname Jagr had at some point.

Just tuning in now. I know it’s a dumb question but was Mario there for the ceremony? If so is that the first time he has been back since selling?

Mario was there for the ceremony. A good portion of the Stanley Cup team from the 90s was there. If you want to watch, here's the ceremony:

Well, I'm gonna be there! And I can't wait!
So, you need to share how awesome it was to witness the Ceremony in person.
An 11 on the Marshall Stack rankings of 10 being the highest, I would guess.
Spoiler:
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Turning the high level of emotion from an 11 to a -10 level after the loss??
