Official GDT: Pens vs Wings 4/11/24
Puljujarvi scratched because watching Carter flounder about in the 3rd period along with bizarre coaching decisions in OT were clearly all because of something Puljujarvi did on the bench late in the game again.
And now that this team is playing just well enough to have a chance at making the playoffs thanks to no one else wanting to play well enough to earn it themselves this clown coach will be back next season.

Z usually starts out hot when he gets recalled. We’ll see how much ice time he gets.
Rust just said it best. We have to defend in numbers.
Let’s roll

Did Sullivan ever explain or justify his OT personnel choices for last game?

Bemstron and Zohorna will get about 4 minutes tonight. Puustinen will get 8 minutes.

Only thing mentioned was Sid was unavailable because a skate issue. The follow-up question should had been if available would he actually have started him in OT because he rarely does ever.IntangibleBeer wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2024 6:55 pmDid Sullivan ever explain or justify his OT personnel choices for last game?

Thanks. Wonder what his justification was for keeping Ellen’s line out there while the Leafs rolled 3 changes?DelPen wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2024 6:58 pmOnly thing mentioned was Sid was unavailable because a skate issue. Re: Official GDT: Pens vs Wings 4/11/24
There wasn’t a chance to change after Karlsson recklessly entered the zone near the end of the first minute and turned it over. That would had been time for a change and either EK made a bad choice ignoring a planned change or the bench never signaled for a change. The OT management has been abysmal.IntangibleBeer wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2024 7:01 pmThank. Not sure how they don’t have the words up for these anthem singers. Especially younger artists.

I had forgotten how DeBrincat started out red hot this year and then about completely stopped scoring goals.

Forgot to mention the good news that Graves was placed on LTIR so he’s off for at least the next week, which is nice if his symptoms if any aren’t too bad and he can spend time with his new kid.

Sully as usual decides to blame the wrong guy for why the 4th Line underperformed
Need to limit Detroit's speed through the Neutral Zone.Defense has to be sharp with their passes and the Forwards have to back Check with intensity.

Players do not celebrate like that unless they all know it went in.

Call on the ice is a goal. No whistle was blown. That’s a goal.

Re: Official GDT: Pens vs Wings 4/11/24
The ref is looking right at it. How does he not call that goal to begin with? And you can whack away as long as you don’t push the goalie into the net with the puck. This should count.
