Comes over from Toronto. A lot of people really like this move. Some expected him to come with Dubas last year. The guy apparently has a good eye for talent.

Good hire. Player development/drafting/scouting is going to be huge for this team over the next several years.

It's bout time they look to revamp in that area. Drafting has been pretty bad lately. And, I agree that Wes Clark is a very good hire for that job.

Leafs have some decent drafts under Clark's wash. They haven't had very high picks at all recently as well.

Yep, except its too bad that they waited until 2 weeks after this years draft to pick him up!KG wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 10:51 amGood hire. Player development/drafting/scouting is going to be huge for this team over the next several years.

If someone like this moves before the draft it's usually in the agreement they cannot be a part of that draft.Dynasty1970 wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 3:03 pmYep, except its too bad that they waited until 2 weeks after this years draft to pick him up!KG wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 10:51 amGood hire. I am glad to see improvement in this very critical area. Scouting seems to have been a joke for years. Don’t have the numbers in front of me, but I would guess they rank near the bottom of the league in producing NHL quality players from their farm system.

Good for KD for addressing the need. Long overdue.
KD seems to hold his plans close to his chest, unlike the last two GM's. Rutherford was too transparent, Patrik Allvin was just a name on a business card, and Hextal was a complete loser, along with Burke. Both have hatred for the team that employed them.
I welcome a fresh name to the team; However, earn your creditability here, with Penguins fans.
How you got the job via name recognition means spit to me.
