The word was that the Steelers didn't want to pay what Boyd was asking for. Hard to believe that they wouldn't have offered him $5M+.
I imagine that's exactly what the Steelers offered (give or take) and Boyd got greedy then no one matched his over valued self. Then either he had too much pride to come to the Steelers or the Steelers said nevermind we'll look elsewhere or go with what we have.

Signing of Scotty Miller is certainly not the answer I would be looking for at WR. Hope this isn't their last addition at wideout.

LOL, the Steelers play the Chiefs on Christmas Day. It's only available to watch via Netflix. That's one Steeler game I'll be missing.

It will also be on a local channel in the Pittsburgh area. 🙂

Yeah, I thought about that after I posted that. I didn't read into it enough. Shooting from the hip I guess.

Good luck with this schedule:

Preseason
NOTE: Dates have not been announced.

HOME: Houston and Buffalo

ROAD: Detroit

Regular season
Sept. 8 – at Atlanta, 1 p.m.

Sept. 15 – at Denver, 4:05 p.m.

Sept. 22 – Los Angeles Chargers, 1 p.m.

Sept. 29 – at Indianapolis, 1 p.m.

Oct. 6 – Dallas, 8:20 p.m.

Oct. 13 – at Las Vegas, 4:05 p.m.

Oct. 20 – New York Jets, 8:20 p.m.

Oct. 28 – New York Giants, 8:15 p.m.

Nov. 3 – Bye

Nov. 10 – at Washington, 1 p.m.

Nov. 17 – Baltimore, 1 p.m.

Nov. 21 – at Cleveland, 8:15 p.m.

Dec. 1 – at Cincinnati, 1 p.m.

Dec. 8 – Cleveland, 1 p.m.

Dec. 15 – at Philadelphia, 4:25 p.m.

Dec. 21 – at Baltimore, 4:30 p.m.

Dec. 25 – Kansas City, 1 p.m.

Jan. 5-6 – Cincinnati (TBD)

The first half isn't too bad, it's the second half that sucks. They don't play an AFC North team until Nov.17.

It's being ranked as the 3rd most difficult in the NFL next season. I'm sure Tomlin will find a way to get to 9-8 and just miss the playoffs.

Rob King of Pittsburgh Sportsnet has been chosen as the Steelers radio Play-By-Play announcer. He will replace long time announcer Bill Hillgrove this season. I like the choice.

We're all invited to St Vincent this August for WR drills. I still have good hands, have trouble getting out of breaks however.

Getting really really sick and tired of the Brandon Aiyuk situation. Steelers are getting played.

I think the Steelers gave the 49ers the best offer they'll make and are not worried about it. I agree they're getting played, but only between the 49ers, Aiyuk, the media. I think the Steelers are just worried about the 2024 season. I don't think he's worth the money or the capital and the Steelers are better off without him.

Well, when you replace him with someone whose former team looked like crap under his reign... unsurprisingly, this is the result. :face:

This offense is weird, everything can be a disaster but has ended up OK for the most part where last couple seasons it was bad but it was so bad there wasn’t a threat for a huge disaster outside of just a 3 and out. Safe but completely ineffective.

And then we have that play where Pickens lost 10 yards on a backfield pass that he refuses to just eat no gain. Twice now this happened.

I think the difference with this office and the Canada offense is that this one seems like a new offense that needs to get the bugs out. The Canada offense was predictable and even if they played it perfectly it would still be bad.

Followed by probably not an offsides on the fumble then to a Falcons TD. Man the NFL officials are frustrating for sure.

Watt is in no way watching the head of the tackle on the other side of the line. He was watching the **** ball being snapped and timed it perfect.

That was a big time throw by Fields and an NFL caliber play design by Smith. Based on the past few year, I didn’t know either were possible.

Canada would had take a knee to end the half after getting the ball with 32 seconds left since we are getting the ball back in the 2nd anyways.
