Failing to make decisive, intelligent and tough decisions for years is the reason this team is unlikely to be competitive again for a much longer time than it already should have been.
I agree with this 100%, but ya cannot change the past. This org committed to the core - I don’t think it was a smart move but it is water under the bridge. The core still remains so I say go for it, but smartly. No trading futures for pending UFAs at the deadline. No nmc or ntc. No long term UFA signings.

I think Dubas would add a piece this summer if the price is right. If not a good price, then they will roll with the current roster. I think he put himself into position to see how this team performs, then make decisions. If they are bad, sell for the future. If they are good, he has pieces to make them better. He has flexibility: draft picks, prospects and cap space. It’ll depend how they perform.

I think they surprise a few people, find a groove, and comfortably make the playoffs.

I don't see Yager making the big squad next season...Can't imagine them letting him jump from the WHL to the NHL...
Agreed. I think Yager can make the team in 25-26 season.
I didn't mean "next season" , I was actually talking about 25-26....Don't think he's gonna go from the WHL to the NHL.

I’m thinking Baltimore Skipjacks or Muskegon Lumberjacks.

Yeah I expect a team that's pretty mediocre to bad most of the year. Even terrible teams often go hot for a minute so I'll expect that but overall, not good. Team is not any better on paper, the same idiot is still behind the bench, nothing really important has changed for the better... key players are yet another year older and we arguably got worse on paper.
Can we find a playen for Hagens or something to intervene for McQueen? Or dodger (wins) for Roger?

Too early to start the James Hagens or Roger McQueen discussions?
