This is depressing. I didn't mind a rebuild, but I have no clue what to the hell this is.

I don’t understand what these referees are looking at. First there was the offsides their seeing eye dogs missed and the the phantom interference call on Malkin. WTF?

All 4 goals high blocker though I doubt he ever saw that last shot with Perry screenFLPensFan wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:01 pmSomething to keep an eye on moving forward regarding Blomqvist. Overall he is playing lights out. We know he has struggled at times on long shots. 2 of 3 goals were absolutely ripped, difficult for anyone to save. But all 3 goals have gone high blocker on him.
Keep an eye on that in future games. Might be something teams have picked up on in scouting reports.

Edmonton and Toronto are probably the two most home cooking officiating cities in the NHLIntangibleBeer wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:08 pmI don’t understand what these referees are looking at. Draisaitil banged his off the post too. It’s also incredibly easy for NHL shooters to find open spots when they have unlimited time to wait out a goalie like the Pens team defense gives everyone.brwi wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:09 pmAll 4 goals high blocker though I doubt he ever saw that last shot with Perry screenFLPensFan wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:01 pmSomething to keep an eye on moving forward regarding Blomqvist. If him or Ned start giving up goals I wouldn’t let up then I’ll worry about

This is denial and marketing.padreegan2831 wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:08 pmThis is depressing. I didn't mind a rebuild, but I have no clue what to the hell this is.
The owners want to market the trio playing 20 years together and making as much money as possible. The NHL part of the franchise is in denial that the Sid era is done. The best outcome to this season is top 2 pick in the NHL draft. Be so far out in January that Dubas is forced to clean house.

Not sure what he could have done to be honest with you. Without this team and 44 shots 4 are bound to be perfect shots.
The one thing i will say is he doesn’t make it painful for the player screening him and none of the defensemen will do anything to allow him to see the puck.

Of for sure I'm not blaming him per se. 3 of the 4 goals were just ripped and almost nobody stops them. But when all 4 goals go in the same spot...somebody has scouted something. I saw Kingerski posted early (maybe before the start of the game) that Blomqvist was going down a bit early against Carolina. Edmonton may have picked up on that in scourint.Daniel wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:14 pmNot sure what he could have done to be honest with you. This game is probably 8-0 with Jarry in net. Blomqvist has made a ton of high quality saves. But they'll need to review this fill and work with him on those high blocker goals to see if it is cause for concern or an adjustment needs to be made to prevent "non ripped shots" from still getting by him.

Whoever runs the Pens X account looks to also be sick as their last post was Glass leaving, never mentioned the two additional goal scored.

And no power play for Petterson getting assaulted because Arvedson doesn’t know how to skate?

Fair point and I’m sure teams are shooting there on purpose. If teams are trying to make that perfect shot, I think they’ll miss more often than not.FLPensFan wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:19 pmOf for sure I'm not blaming him per se. 3 of the 4 goals were just ripped and almost nobody stops them. If he can keep his mental facilities behind this awful team he’ll be a really good goalie. If he’s going down too early that ought to be an easy enough fix. If. He has to go back to WBS for a bit to fix that, doesn’t matter.

For a league that penalizes players who skate for 5 seconds if they lose their helmet still allowing players to fight is quite the choice.

At least I'd probably get a good deal on a set of white walls from Lou.
