Wonder if a goalie ever tells the players what to do on breakaways where they are close enough to haul them down but it would be a penalty shot. I could see some want them to do that so they can get ready for a shot and others would rather just let the shooter come down while they have less time to do something.

Pretty sure the rule is if the player is entering the bench and doesn’t have a skate on the ice he’s not off side.
