It all started with the horrific call of kneeing. At that point I stated it was a flashback. I was correct.

They gained a point, but this really should have been a win. Was a game they needed to win. Barely a playoff team last year, struggling this year, lots of injuries part of that...I had this projected as a win earlier this week.

I’ve never understood or personally put Letang in the same breath as Sid and Geno. I’ve never understood it.

He was always a very good d man but he’s never won the Norris, or ever came close. Just my opinion but he’s overrated by some of the fan base. Maybe not a lot on this site lol but…

He is worthy of respect and admiration for having the courage and desire to battle back from 2 Strokes and play this long after that.True Warrior.
The mental part of his game has been a problem going back to the 2018 Playoff Loss to Washington. And has been there every season without being addressed.
The best he ever played was in Finals against SJ in 2016.Different level from him.Got help from solid play from Cole,Dumoulin,Daley,Maatta and Lovejoy.
For most of the Penguins Successful Runs it was other guys on the Back End who were they relied on.He was a 3rd Pairing D in 2010,the Pens used Gonchar as the top Offensive Point guy and Orpik,Gill and Scuderi as the shutdown guys.In 2017 his absence didn't hurt their success,using guys like Dumoulin,Cole,Schultz,DaleyMaatta and Hainsey handled every challenge.

He gets protected by Pittsburgh Media Guys like DK and Madden IMHO.
