I often ask myself this about half the team. They never take the open shot, always opting for that one last pass.

In a vacuum, I don't think last night was a terrible game. They came back from a deficit for a change, and Malkin had a great chance to get the 2 points in OT that he probably scores on 75% of the time, but Talbot did really well to not commit and wait him out. And then, of course, Ned couldn't come up with a corresponding save.
But in the context of just getting hammered by Dallas and playing a fellow bad team at home, you would have liked to see a much stronger game.
