Only downside is that he will be replaced next year by an equivalent forward making $7.5-$8 million a year with the cap increase, But maybe McGriority or this years number 6 in the draft can take his place.

This team seriously knows how to destroy player's confidence. Kolyachonok was a healthy scratch with Utah as guys came back from injuries. He gets waived and claimed....just to continue sitting on the new team's bench.

Kolyachonok hasn't played an NHL game since January 8th. Graves directly responsible for the first goal of the game by misplaying the puck horribly.

Well, gone are the days of other teams bringing their A-game when they play the Pens.

I'm not so sure a lot of that fight and pushback isn't just the other team getting complacent with a lead against a known crappy team and coasting a bit (something the Pens were guilty of over the years).

As others have said....you're telling me Team USA learned Sullivan's system in a week, but Kolyachonok can't pick it up? I call BS. POJ has been struggling. Graves is always hit or miss. Shea at least has found a magical scoring touch apparently.

But this isn't new for Sullivan. Used to be, Sullivan stuck with a winning lineup. We haven't been winning a lot, and he still refuses to make changes. It's absurd. But that's how top 2-3 coaches in the league do things.
