It's a show about the motorcycle gang, it's on FX.

From the site:
Sons of Anarchy is an adrenalized drama with darkly comedic undertones about a notorious outlaw motorcycle club intent on protecting their sheltered small town against encroaching drug dealers, corporate developers, and overzealous law officers. The club is equally determined to protect their ruthless and illegally thriving arms business.

Been waiting MONTHS for this! Im not sure I can handle another show with Prison Break, Heroes, Weeds and LOST on my agenda. But since Weeds is about to end, and LOST isn't until January....I think I'll manage.
FX does a solid job with series too. I have to re-watch The Shield as I lost track after season 4. I also have to do the same for Rescue me since I only watched the first 1 1/2 seasons of that.
10PM tonight? or 9PM?

I believe it's 10:00... and you're right, with Prison Break & Heroes, along with my other show, Supernatural, it's difficult juggling everything, especially when you add hockey into the mix.PensFanInDC wrote:Been waiting MONTHS for this! DVR'd that sucker last night. Have not watched it yet. The demo for NHL09 came out yesterday so I played that for...oh, say 8 hours. Very tired today but I will watch when I get home. Then we can discuss!!IrishEyes wrote:Coming on in a few minutes! I'm stoked. This better not disappoint.
Are you planning on watching Fringe? Its by JJ Abrams so I have a feeling that the show will anger me but also keep me watching night after night (see LOST). We also watch Chuck which is an awesome show.
I'll post my thoughts on SOA tonight.

I don't think I've ever played a video game for 8 hours... wait, scratch that. I think when I went on my Alice binge for the PC I played for about that. Never mind, then.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on SoA.

Im not usually a marathon gamer but I am involved in a league for the new NHL09 game and this was my first taste at it. I wanted to learn as much as I could about it before it is released.IrishEyes wrote:I definitely want to see Fringe, it looks awesome. And yeah, I love Chuck. I accidentally caught maybe 30 seconds of SoA by accident last night and if the whole show is as good as that 30 seconds then I'm in for a treat!

How the hell am I going to be able watch all these shows AND hockey? I don't have the luxury of DVR. Crap! Guess I need to hone my channel-flipping skills.Idoit40fans wrote:I was half reading and half watching SoA, but it seemed pretty good. ALso, Chuck is definitely awesome, I love that show. No DVR? WHATS THAT LIKE!?!?! I wouldnt be able to watch all these shows without it. I rarely watch anything live anymore. If it's an hour long, I record for 25 minutes and then start from the beginning. I skip ALL commercials that way. Hockey is better when live. It just loses something when recorded.IrishEyes wrote:How the hell am I going to be able watch all these shows AND hockey? I don't have the luxury of DVR. Crap! I never got into Life but I really dig the guy who stars. I forget his name....some british guy. He was Major Winters in Band of Brothers (greatest film ever) and Jonesy in Dreamcatcher (better book then movie)

Haha yeah I just refer to him as Winters and everyone knows who i'm talking about. He is the only reason I gave the show a chance.PensFanInDC wrote:No DVR? WHATS THAT LIKE!?!?! Damian Lewis...big fan of Band of Brothers.
Speaking of which, they are wrapping up production on a companion mini-series to Band of Brothers called The Pacific. Should be out in about a year, but it covers a couple of books With the Old Breed... by Eugene Sledge and Helmet for My Pillow by Robert Leckie. From the source material, it should be one hell of a miniseries.

Well....It was good but not great. I'll keep watching to see where it goes but my hopes are not set too high. There are certainly going to be some nasty things going on with the relationship that Jax has with his Mom and his finding of his fathers manifest.
All in all I'd give it a 7/10. Maybe that will change with some more plot twists.

I really liked it. The reluctance of Jax to be like his step-father, and his mom actively trying to get him to be like that is pretty awesome. But then he goes and beats the hell out of the dealer in the bar. I wasn't expecting the addict pregnant ex-wife and the baby thing, but it works. And come on... the guy with the dynamite shoved up his butt? That was pretty sweet.PensFanInDC wrote:Well....It was good but not great. Yeah. the thing between Jax and his mom and step-dad is the most inrtiguing part to me so far. Looking forward to seeing where that goes. I did love how they showed the charred remains of the bodies in the car......but the guy with the dynamite up the hiney was nowhere to be seen....I guess he's all over the place now...IrishEyes wrote:I really liked it. Are people still watching this show? I've been pretty hooked on it from the start. Between The Shield on Tuesdays and this on Wednesdays it's a pretty good setup FX has.

I thought the first episode was mediocre, and then was busy during the second episode and that about it. I forgot about it.

Been able to see every ep so far, what with FX playing it on other nights as well as Wednesday. Oh, and hey, it's on now! *Scampers off*MWB wrote:Are people still watching this show?
