In the latest "We believe in hockey" ad, you will see not 1, but 2 (yes 2, that's right, 2!) Rico Fata highlights.
One is of him beating someone wide and feeding someone (Straka) for an easy tap in. The other is a low angle view of the goal he scored on Hasek when then Pens beat Detroit 4-3 at home.
Who knew OLN would going to air the complete Rico Fata highlights collection? And my PC-based PVR missed it!!

Fata is freakishly fast, if only the hands could communicate as quickly.
How about the Mark Malone highlight goal! Plau Crosby got his Rolling Stone pucker on a couple too.

The Rico Fata 'highlights'? Isn't that more like the 'Rico Fata: The Definitive Play Collection (minus offside rushes)"?
lol at the Sidney Crosby Rolling Stone pucker. well played, sir. I knew what you were talking about as soon as I read it.

To Rico's credit, that goal was pretty sweet.
Wasn't that Fleury's first win in the NHL?

I figured that if he could make Hasek look stupid he could score 20 on the 3rd line with the new rules in place.

I never had much faith in him to begin with, so meh. He has million dollar speed but ten cent hands.

Just supports Jim's argument on the old board that a good highlight compilation can make anyone look good!

Anyone who has more than one good play can theoretically have a highlight compilation. Trouble is, some of them are a few minutes worth.. after only 1 season in the league. Others are a few seconds worth after many seasons in the league.
Also, I didn't get too excited after One Nut scored on the Dominator. Remember, that's the same guy who was 'owned' by one Darius Kasparaitis.

I think it just goes to show what we all know deep down: Rico Fata is the answer.

I find it hard to believe Rico can't perform better than Glaciercott or Gilligan

I just saw it again and here's another strange quirk I noticed: on the goal where Fata blows by a defenseman to set up Straka for a tap-in, guess who the defenseman is?
The Penguins' own Eric Cairns. If that's not some kind of cruel joke, I don't know what is...
