The state gaming board is in big trouble!

First of all it is sick sick sick that the lovely young lady pictured there is no longer with us.

Two boards members arrested for drunken brawls outside of bars? That punk pictured there is a media aide (gets coffee for Smizik?) and I hope he gets accussed of murder because alchohol is no good excuse for that act.

As far as the Pens are concerned this may delay the process further because the entire board needs to be removed and reselected. The time it takes to do that could be a problem but the end result could provide a level playing field as the new members will be void of corruption due to the close attention that will be paid by all the applicants and hopefully the media and citizens of the entire state.

People behaving badly will happen but responible adults who serve the state should not be of such low moral character in my humble opinion. If I could clean up my taste in music I would apply.

Agreed! What jack#ss would "dangle" his girlfriend out a 23rd story window as "horse play"??? I don't care how drunk you are.

The allegations and information uncovered in this article really make you wonder just how effective this gaming board will be in making such a big decision. So far, 3 crazy drunks and a bad cop! How many more incompetants are there?

My biggest problem with all of this is the fact that the gaming board is allowing people to begin work without their background check being completely performed.

They might be pressed for time, but what it does, is make it appear that the board is set up to provide jobs to people as political favors.

This girl was president of her senior class at pleasant valley H.S. in the Poconos. She also ran track.

According to the community she was a special special person.

Forget everything negative this says about the Gaming board (And there's plenty of negative to say)

This is outrageous.

Yeah that sounds like something a sober person would do with their drunk bf.

The stupidity involved in this is just beyond me. I have done some stupid things while drinking, but hanging out of a 23 story window or holding someone that wants to is just beyond words.

Smart girl like that? Her whole life in front of her? I don't buy it.

I guess I'm in the minority but I believe him. Both were likely drunk out of their minds. Drunk people are stupid, dangerous and often cause others to die through their carelessness. He's to blame but I also don't think he picked her up and threw her out the window.

It would appear she had to be drunk too because nobody drinks beer and wine. The empty wine bottles were most likely hers (I'll wait until the toxicology report from the forensic scientist is published to be certain). He could have emptied a few bottles and strewn them about the floor to confirm his story.

What was the temperature in Harrisburgh that night? I would guess it was very cold out. No young lady is going out on a balcony wearing nothing but her panties and a sweater. If so, she would have had to be wasted to the point where she could barely walk. So letting her go near that balcony in that state is a crime all its own.

Fast forward to her being "lowered" to the next balcony- which im sure is evenly parallel to each successive balcony or else she couldnt have fallen all the way- why would you hold her under the arms if she is wearing a sweater?? I smart classy girl like that wouldnt strut outside on a balcony with a skin tight sweater on, she would have been wearing a big baggy one to cover her panties over. So he lowered her from under her arms with a big baggy sweater on? If your lowering someone your going to have a hard time getting a grip under the arms with a baggy sweater on!

I suspect foul play but there are alot of facts that have yet to be published. Right now I dont think that guy should be considered innocent at all. Alchohol or not foul play is afoot and I am going to follow this story until justice is served!

It also occured to me that even a drunk bafoon would have gotten sober real quick when that cold air hit him. He would have gotten ALOT more sober when he realized the danger of the situation as well. There is no way he would have let go of the garment.

This guy is guilty as sin!

Mr. Eckenrode, a gaming board communications aide, has been charged with homicide in her death.
I hope he gets sent to "long-poke" for the rest of his murdering drunken days. I'm glad this Conoroy fellow resigned but I aint hating him for the murder or nothing, I just think that whole board should be rehired to find the best people. Not the ones that were the most available because this guy is related to this and that. **** politicians think that their own bloodline is what is best for the world.

I think they are scum too, but rehiring the whole board will just push the decision back even further.
