Re: Movie
you gotta see it, I can definately understand how it's sad and disturbing, but at the same time, it's absolutely hilarious beacuse of that. I feel that it's filmed in a way that you want to laugh at him and not with him, it very well may be the most unintentional comedy of all time. Maybe it's my sense of humor, but I've never heard of anyone else who didn't find it funny...beerman wrote:I've never seen this video but it's making me laugh just thinking about someone getting eaten by a bear.
On the surface someone getting eaten by a bear isn't funny, but if the guy actually thinks he had a connection with the bears and then ends up getting eaten by one then yeah I find that funny

Re: Movie
this bear business has me so intrigued but im not sure id actually want to watch it.
it reminds me of a story this past winter of a team of environmental wackos heading up to the arctic circle to do research on global warming. they HIKED because of how opposed to carbon emissions they are. well on the way there they hit a really bad storm and ran out of food and had no way to get home. eventually a plane was able to save them.

Yeah, sounds like I have the sense of humor for it I find a lot of inappropriate things funny.eddysnake wrote:you gotta see it, I can definately understand how it's sad and disturbing, but at the same time, it's absolutely hilarious beacuse of that. I can see why people would find it sad and disturbing and I feel bad for the guys family/gf whatever he had for what happened, because I wouldn't wish that upon anyone.
But to talk yourself into thinking your one with the bears and then getting nom'd because of it, I find humor in that.

Re: Movie
right-o, i didn't mean that i thought it was funny because he died, my apoligies if that's how it came across. let's just say it's a great flick!nocera wrote:The guy himself is a funny character. And he's really likable, which makes the ending even sadder. Of course I laughed throughout it, but I didn't laugh because he died, I laughed because he's a weird funny dude.

Re: Movie
Best scene in American Psycho is the business card scene. I love when I see people in and around court and I know they are basically Paul Allens and Patrick Batemans.

Re: Movie
Grizzly man makes me so mad. I have never seen all the movie , but it is infuriating that a guy thinks he can train bears. Then they ate him like the shark in deep blue sea. As for documentaries, I will get someone in this country to watch Adam Curtis' films if it takes me my entire life. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Curtis" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; He is the best documentation ever IMO, they are all online, youtube and google. Others are jesus camp, the marlon brando doco, Why we fight.eddysnake wrote:if anyone is looking for a good documentary, check out: The Endurance: Shackleton's Legendary Antarctic Expedition. One of the best docs I've ever seen, amazing story. anyone have any suggestions for any other great documentaries?
