DOC gets nailed to the head with no call.Could clearly see what the intention was on that hit.

Considering the opponent this was one of the best Wins for the Pens this Year. They were the better Team tonight.
Jarry was outstanding. He made many difficult saves and stood tall late.
The PP was the main reason this game nearly ended up with a loss.Wasted 3rd Period opportunities with a SHG against.
Puustinen,DOC and Malkin were excellent.Forechecking and chances generated which got stronger as the game wore on.
The entire effort and energy was impressive.Came back from 2-0,3-2 and got a huge Win.
The way the Pens battled and continued to take this game was worth staying up with the "Night Owl Crowd".It proves once again that playing with intensity has its rewards. The 3rd Period and OT was all about their desire to win against a very good team on the road.

Very surprising win,one of the best of the year.. to be without best two wingers and to beat top team in league, its good feeling.
Will this team do this again, give some hope, get closer to playoffs,no much changes and then fail again? Well offseason will be interesting..

If I didn’t go to bed after the first I definitely would have after the shorty.

Made it through the second period last night, but what a pleasant surprise to see the final score this morning back east! Definitely a great two points to snag on the road against Vancouver. Let’s go Pens!

I was up late finishing a project that was due at midnight. I wasn't watching the game, but then I saw the alert on my phone that Eller tied it at 3, so I turned ii on for the last bit of the 3rd and OT. I've complained a lot about this team, but that stretch was a lot of fun to watch. Missing their top wingers, they played smart and hard and came out on top against one of the teams in the league on the road.

It is an extreme travesty that Puustinen has not garnered more ice time. He was one of the best on the ice last night. His dime to Eller coming off the bench was a forehand to backhand dish with special sauce. Eller snipe was bound to happen. We have been on the other side of that feeling too much this year.
This team has had to overcome so much this season. Every game now is a playoff game. No Rust and no Guentzel. Young dudes playing hard given the opportunities.

Huge win. I wrapped it up mid 2nd.
That Karlsson play to keep it in at the blueline in OT was maestro like. This is what he brings to the table.
He now has 20 points in his last 21 games. Leave him be.
Pens are 7 points out but have 5 games in hand. Just have to keep winning.
They can re-tool at the deadline and still be a playoff team. If Jake doesn't want to re-sign, you bring in a now player along with a top prospect and 1st round pick. Trade Smith for a different type of forward etc. They can re-tool while still trying to make the playoffs.

If the Pens are as into the advanced analytics as they say they are, then they really need to get Carter and Harkins out of the lineup. The 4th line gets rolled and plays way too much. Get Acciari some real linemates who aren't just looking to chip and chase for 25 second shifts.

It’s a lot more Harkins than Carter. It’s a shame Poulin can’t stay healthy because he would be perfect for the 4th line right now.KG wrote: Wed Feb 28, 2024 9:24 amIf the Pens are as into the advanced analytics as they say they are, then they really need to get Carter and Harkins out of the lineup.
