If there were any doubts, handshake line with the Isles seals it that Carter is retiring.

The Cretins chanting negative stuff about Sid have zero clue what kind of Greatness that guy brings.

Maybe Jeff Carter is trying to dethrone Fleury as the ultimate practical joker....DelPen wrote: Wed Apr 17, 2024 9:50 pmIf there were any doubts, handshake line with the Isles seals it that Carter is retiring.

Real nice moment for Carter at least, he was *ahem* on the downslope the last couple years but hey, he's human at the end of the day.

I will never understand why Sid always does the twenty quick back and forths and then shoots in tight move on breakways. He does it almost every time. Goalies know its coming.

Just saw the replay of Carter's goal. Looks like Geno picked up the puck out of the net for him.

Re: Official GDT: Pens @ Isles 4/17/24
With zip to play for this was just going though the motions.Different after the past 12 Games with the High Intensity and Effort.
Jeff Carter got a nice send off in his last game.Goal and then a Classy Move from his Team and the Isles to show their respect.
Sid went out playing with heart and Effort to the Final gun. What a Great Season from him in every aspect.
Harkins gave us 1 more reason to shake our heads at Sully. His lack of effort was there on the Isles game winner.Never belonged on the active roster.
No complaints for Ned,so many bad bounces led to goals. His play a huge reason they weren't eliminated weeks ago.
A disappointing failure of a Season. The last 12 Games nearly overcame a Year of bad Roster Management,Coaching that never found a way to correct the on ice mistakes that cost them so many games and many underachieving players. To miss the Playoffs is a bitter Pill considering one 9f the Greatest Players in the History of the sport had a magnificent season and carried this team on his back.

Surprised Jeff Carter said they are living in Pittsburgh now. Going to be with family and then decide if he wants a hockey job.

Yeah thanks everyone for contributing to this message board. Especially those who post the starting lineups, breaking news stories, links to other sites, and details regarding the cap. Great stuff.

He said they moved here full time this August. Not sure where his wife is from, but Carter said they loved it here and it is central to both of their extended families.penny lane wrote: Wed Apr 17, 2024 10:19 pmSurprised Jeff Carter said they are living in Pittsburgh now. I would not be surprised to see him become a player development coach with the Penguins, maybe after a year off.

Agree with everyone, frustrating season but can always count on the board through thick and thin. See yinz around for hopefully a productive off season.

Re: Official GDT: Pens @ Isles 4/17/24
It’s funny that so many former players who have spent any time in Pittsburgh end up staying to live there after they retire. I don’t see that much with other teams but maybe it’s because I’m not paying attention as much since I’m a Pens fan.penny lane wrote: Wed Apr 17, 2024 10:19 pmSurprised Jeff Carter said they are living in Pittsburgh now.
