Just another disaster of a loss.Awful 3rd Period,Inept OT.
Jarry out of position on the Losing Goal.
Gryz a complete liability on the last 2 Goals.
How many times can a Team lose late leads without it being held accountable?
From the minute the Pens got pressured they were waiting to be beaten.

Cannot even do that right. Got a point.FLPensFan wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 9:41 pmTanking for a top 5 pick. The team doesn't look like they respect him. Not sure if that's true, but it just looks like it to me.

4 shots on goal in the third. Tampa’s defense is not that good to stop a team from getting shots.
Not sure what they discuss in the locker room at second intermission.

The Pens are brutal for me this year as a NY Jets fan also. I can't have the Pens mimicking those idiots!

Found it quite telling that not one player gave Jarry any sort of acknowledgement after the game. Not one stick tap, head tap, nothing. I'm pretty sure that in most losses, team mates, at least those who were on the ice, say something to their goalie. The video showed Jarry all alone, looking around, skating off by himself.
He needs to be moved. Period.

What a sh** show. Why we play soft in zone point collapse is beyond me. Opposing teams get control in zone and it’s almost like a varied power play as our center and wings collapse down low so much - no pressure on the opposing D to make quicker plays or apply pressure. Might as well play everyone below the dots. Fire Sully

As soon as the genius sent Acciari out for a face off even though Malkin is just as likely to win it the game was over.

When is GM WonderKid due for another media availability session? And I don't mean the softball sit downs he has once a month on SNP with Getzoff.

Of course Poulin, Ponomarev and Puljujarvi had the least amount of ice time by the forward group.
The coach just does not trust younger players. And don’t kid yourself. Once Hayes, Lizotte and Glass are back the kids will be sent back down.
Dubas needs to stop bringing in bottom six veterans. They are Sullivans kryptonite, he can’t help himself. I mean Nieto had over 15 minutes of ice time. What are we building here??

I mean... why not trust? haha. This team is garbage. What's a young guy going to screw up that hasn't already been done?KG wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 10:42 pmOf course Poulin, Ponomarev and Puljujarvi had the least amount of ice time by the forward group.

Thats 100%, Poulin and Ponomarev back down and Puljujarvi scratched or relegated to 7min.. because he shouldnt be playing so physical or scoring?! Jesse is top 4 Forward this season after Sid, Geno and Rakell and yet he is getting dorked!KG wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 10:42 pmOf course Poulin, Ponomarev and Puljujarvi had the least amount of ice time by the forward group.

Even with his little ice time, Puljujarvi not only scored but he led the team in shots with 5. No other player had more than 2! I don’t understand how the media can’t call this stuff out to Sullivan. He doesn’t reward players that aren’t “his” type of players.Pens4Life wrote: Wed Nov 20, 2024 4:19 amThats 100%, Poulin and Ponomarev back down and Puljujarvi scratched or relegated to 7min.. because he shouldnt be playing so physical or scoring?! Puljujärvi pots a few goals here and there, produces a few assists. He finishes his checks, skates hard on the forecheck, uses the body. Actually has a brain with relevant hockey IQ. Looks great on the eyetest.
Yeah, he's no Jake Guentzel, but for the love of the hockey gods, stop scratching him!

Too bad Puljujarvi has a "u" instead of an "o" as his second letter. They could be the 3Po line... for 8 minutes a night.
Poulin has looked decent in this stint as he's become more comfortable. He could be a serviceable bottom-6 guy, for sure. I liked what I saw of Shea as well. He and St. Ivany did well together at the end of last season. If they are (finally) sitting Graves, maybe they should consider sitting Grzelcyk too. I had hopes that he might rejuvenate himself here but, alas, no dice. Nieto looked fast, at least, so maybe they can ditch him and Acciari for low-round picks to get them off the books and keep some young guys cycling through. That injection of youth made a noticeable difference last night (at least for a while). Of course, they sat most of the third for the collapse and never saw the ice in OT, so it's no wonder the team reverted to its MO.
p.s. - none of that matters as long as Sully is behind the bench.
p.p.s. - scratch my first thought. Got my head out over my skis and just realized they were not a line together. How about the POP line?
