I'm thinking about installing Will Rock - I'm in serious need of shooting some monsters.Dude, I took your advice and installed Serious Sam first. I am having so much fun!!! I already did the First Encounter. If you're in the mood for shooting monsters... endless, endless waves of monsters... I'm talking giant piles of corpses here... then install Serious Sam. The screams of those headless suicidal bomb bastards will haunt your dreams.
You weren't kidding about the number of monsters. Sometimes it's actually pretty overwhelming. Love the rocket lancher! Reminds of the one in DeusEx, but here you can use it over and over and over again.
I also have to say that this here is the best example of aerial monsters I've seen in a game to date. I'm talking about those Harpy things. 50 or 100 will follow you high in the sky, then you blast them with that rocket launcher or the minigun. Man, this is absolutely awesome. The walking robots also remind of the ones from DeusEx.
Oh, those screaming Kamikaze guys with the bombs piss me off. They run faster than you do, so you can't run away and they just swarm you.
The final boss was HUGE. Listed at 330 feet tall. Never seen one that big before.![]()
I thought that the SS Gold was both SS1 and 2, by the way, but these are Encounters 1 and 2. I need to buy SS2.
I now just started the Second Encounter. The graphics are so beautiful for an older game. Better than in the first one. Really, it's a pleasure to be in the game. And is it me or is this one harder than the first one?
Yeah, tell me about it. I'm so behind on this stuff and I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of good games coming out now. Things just get in the way. Now I'm finally healthy after 2 years of problems and I'm basically starting to live a normal life again. I'm out most of the time. If I'm home, I'm usually playing bass - making up for the two months I missed, since I couldn't put any prolonged pressure on my upper mid/right stomach area or it would cause a severe attack (apparently I developed a chronic gallbladder inflamation, in addition to gallstones). Hell, I couldn't lay straight on my back for more than few minutes or I'd feel like my chest was going to explode. Same as when I'd eat a handfull of Pops cereal. It was awful. I just had my first BEER in over a year 2 weeks ago. Woohoo. I'm eating normal food, finally. Steaks and hamburgers. I lost exactly 50 pounds, due to an overactive thyroid two years ago and now these gallbladder issues. I've already regained 15 pounds since my surgery almost 2 months ago. 35 more to go!You need to get to work on playing those games.
Value your health and watch your diet, people. And sorry for this personal BS. I'm just happy to be healthy again!

Lego Indiana Jones for DS. It's muich easier to find items than in Star Wars and I like these games for the DS since it's the game play and not the graphics that matter.
Is anyone getting Resistance 2?

I had an absolute blast playing Neverwinter Nights and Dungeon Siege with my girlfriend, since both games have co-op. I think I liked Dungeon Siege better. I'm not too much into turn-based fighting systems. But both games are great to play with someone else... like Diablo back in the day.Three Stars wrote:Neverwinter Nights and its expansion packs, along with the PRC for extra spell goodness.
Just have to make sure not to tell the g/f that you're cheating and getting some weapons and rings and sh*t, if she's not into that. I got yelled at.

Neverwinter Nights is probably my 3rd favorite game of all time. Behind Deus Ex and Skies of Arcadia.

I think I might go get it tomorrow. But Fable 2 is still an option as well up until I actually make a purchase, who knows.

After playing Fable II and Fallout 3 both for a few hours. I got to give the nod to Fable II. I prefer the combat, story, and gameplay overall. I love how you can buy up things. I'm making money on the game while my 360 is off. lol
I love the job system on Fable II as well. I also think the Fallout world is just too massive to explore.
Fallout 3 is a great game as well but overall fun wise I give the nod to Fable II.

Re: Current video game being played
Pure, it's an ATV game. Pretty fun, but definitely a rental and not a purchase. Still trying to force myself to play GTAIV but I just get bored after 2 missions. Midnight Club: LA is next. I enjoy the linear nature of racing games, as opposed to the mass hysteria of a GTA IV. How linear is Fable II? I love RPG's that are not insanely all over the place. I played Oblivion for about an hour and got pissed and sent it back b/c I was confused and the graphics suuuuuuucked for a XBox 360 game (graphics are kind of overrated, but that game is crap compared to some of the more current ones).

Lol. The side effect of playing GHWT is that you are bound to have Willie Nelson and Wings stuck in your head. I've had Band on the Run playing in my head all day, I'm about to go postal.

Dude, me too! I found at the goodwill on McKnight for 3 bucks. To this day; however, I have no idea how Roenick is a 99 and Lemieux is a 95. It's mind boggling.bringitonhome wrote:I've been playing a lot of NHLPA 93 for Sega. Great game!

Speaking of Bethesda I'm playing Oblivion again. Got new hardware and several of the best mods (some are just brilliant, and adresses some of the original versions flaws). The game's still jaw dropping at times, I must say. Sure, Crysis is technically more modern but in some ways Oblivion still is the best looking game, and there are just so many different things to do in it.

Call Of Duty 3 for the Wii = full of fail.
Do not pay full price for this game. Don't even pay half price for this game.

Admit it; the first Oblivion mod you installed was the "Female Nude EyeCandy" mod, right?André wrote:Speaking of Bethesda I'm playing Oblivion again.
