Agreed, Mike was by far my favorite character.

really?
Yes, absolutely. His backstory is the most compelling (to me), and I really like how Banks played him. In a way, I sorta feel like he was the anti-Walt.

Just started watching this a week ago on Season 2 episode 5. I am annoyed with myself that I didn't watch this sooner. This show is absolutely awesome

You guys would eat up Damages with Glenn Close. Every bit as good as Breaking Bad. Similar mood. Superb writing and cast/acting.

No. Yours is because you never watched Damages. I would actually argue Damages may be a little better. I think I found it more even gripping than BB. I think BB is a 5-star show, so if I say Damages is good... it is. Glenn is amazing. She plays such a cold-hearted B, yet you understand her reasoning for doing things. Rose Byrne is amazing, as well. A lot of good actors on the show.

Bart Scott can't wait clip

I been watching it on Netflix, this morning I bought the complete series on Blu ray. I only purchase physical movies/tv shows if I really like them. I'm only on season 2 and this was a no brainer.

If you've made it through the 2nd season, buckle up because it becomes a roller coaster ride from there. I found the 2nd season to be the most boring one out of all the seasons. Season 3+ are awesome.

you are the first person in human history to put damages on the same plane as breaking bad.

The Wire is the only show I've ever heard be anywhere close to competing with BB for the best drama in TV history.

You don't have an opinion here since you didn't watch Damages. I don't know why you're arguing.

Damages is a very good show. Breaking Bad is one of the best series in the history of the medium.

Let's not get carried away.

Everything is open to personal opinion, first of all. Second, I think a lot of people get carried away about BB. Great show, but let's not make a religion out of it.

because you are the first person in human history to put damages on the same plane as breaking bad. whether i've watched damages or not isn't terribly relevant.

 and I really like Season 2, I felt terrible for Jessie when he was evicted from his Aunt's home, and feeling bad for Walt when Skyler kept leaving the house for the day. Walt lecturing Jessie in the RV like a school teacher then they start fighting. I can't say enough how awesome this show is.

Maybe it would help is Sarcastic started a 'Damages' thread to contain all the discussion.

if you want to find Damages, it's #312. I realize that this is just one source (a pretty big source), but still... to consider them even on the same playing field is a little ridiculous.

In human history. Now you're talking out of your behind. I don't know why you're arguing a personal opinion (and without seeing the other show to compare, which is relevant, of course), why this is so important to you - it's just a TV show, or why you're so aggressive to other posters lately. Whatever it is, work it out, shmenguin.

I won't spend much time discussing a TV show. It's not important to me what others watch or how they rank things.

Britney sells a ton of records. How do you rank her? Popularity means nothing in art.

Breaking Bad is universally accepted as one of if not the best show in TV history. You are the first person that I have EVER heard say Damages is better. When popularity and critical acclaim align, you know there's some greatness there.

I said BB is a 5 star show. That means as good as it gets. I just said I think Damages might be a little better. If someone disagrees, I don't care. That has no bearing on my life. I never understand why people try to make others think what they think. That's a bad attitude to have going through life. I think of it as a personality disorder, but whatever.

Also, take a look at the Oscars and the Grammys. Critical acclaim really means nothing to me. There is also a lot of hype surrounding BB. Understandably so, but I think many people take it too far. Tif and I discussed BB's ending some months ago and I thought it was just atrocious. Silly and leaving lose ends. A real let down to the whole show for me. But, what do I care if he or someone else disagrees.
