Re: NFL
Foles is basically a bit better version of Mike Glennon...a very average QB...Bradford has more arm talent for sure, but sure does like getting hurt...two full seasons out of five I think so far...count2infinity wrote:I always (rightfully or completely ignorantly) thought Bradford to be good but in a bad system, and Foles to be mediocre in a good system. I guess we'll find out.

Re: NFL

Andre Johnson spent the first part of his career with chodes at QB. He got a perfectly passable QB in Matt Schaub and made his QB look good. 2011 probably should have been Houston's year to win the AFC, but both Johnson and Schaub were lost with injuries (and Mario Williams on defense). As Schaub decomposed an older Johnson slipped and was no longer other-worldly. It's a shame that Houston managed to waste his prime.
I still think he has something left as a possession receiver, but once a receiver loses the ability to get open downfield it gets tough.

Re: NFL
Bradford has played 49 games in 5 seasons. That's...not good. In college he wrecked his shoulder as a junior. He's torn his left ACL twice and missed time with a "lower body injury". The optimist would say that these injuries are fluky. The pessimist would point out that the best indicator of future health is past health. He's also a Canucks fan so I'm skeptical about him.

Definitely, but I think its a good deal for the Saints as well. They still have playmakers on offense, their line will be greatly improved by Unger, and they get an extra 1st round pick out of it.tifosi77 wrote:I can't help but think that with the Graham move, Seattle was sort of re-doing that last Super Bowl play in their heads.......

Keenan Lewis wants out of NO after the Graham trade. Colbert should be on the phone immediately.

Re: NFL
I like having a legit deep threat on the team. He and Boldin should work well together like they did in Baltimore. At least some decent news after yesterday.canaan wrote:Torrey Smith got a 5 year deal with the Niners
Though that is ALOT of guaranteed money for him.

Re: NFL
Is it just me, or are nfl players big babies when it comes to wanting to get out of cities? I understand hockey players do it as well, it's just my opinion that they mostly have paid their dues and at least gave said city a shot. I know rebuilds are different, but you look at Toronto maple leafs and a majority of players want to stay and be part of the rebuild, that's just what I heard on hockey central so take it with a grain of pepper

It's a business, never fault anyone for wanting to go for the money or leave a team. A team can cut you at a drop of a hat, so you always gotta look out for your best interest. Especially older players, why would they want to go through a rebuild?Jofa Guy wrote:Is it just me, or are nfl players big babies when it comes to wanting to get out of cities? Re: NFL
Yeah you're right I didn't think about the fact teams can just cut you without notice, plus the older players point as well. Haha I'll make sure to look through the whole thread before posting late updates, I thought I was being coolskullman80 wrote:It's a business, never fault anyone for wanting to go for the money or leave a team. The Bengals signed AJ Hawk. Meanwhile Colbert is reviewing a list of Rooney-approved cheap targets who used to play for the Steelers to sign. Well, he will review it once Rooney remembers to pretend to care about winning again.
