Bad ending to the game but I actually liked Whitney hauling down Niminen like that so he didn't get the EN.

final thoughts? at least they played better than saturday. i thought they came out good, hitting and such until the shorty. MAF real good again, as was lundquvist. jagr didnt seem to have a good game tonight, maybe all the physicality? personally, it always seems like he gets off of his game when he takes a couple hits early. just seem to coast through the last two periods though. we'll see tomorrow

Its on and off, passing was worse tonight

but one night its bad passing, the other night its bad skating, then there's nights like the last rangers game both are bad......

When oh when will the Endicott experiment end? I think that the coaching staff has been given orders to play him. No way does MT think that Endo is playing well enough to maintain ice time. Endo has zero, yes that is ZERO NHL skills. Please put him on the next bus to Wilkes Barre. If money is an issue, I will buy the ticket

Im telling you he fears Orpik. Orpik is one of the few blueliners that is quick enough and big enough to REALLY damage Jagr in open ice. It's only a matter of time until 44 unveils his masterpeice.

Two minutes well worth it.

I would have liked to see Whitney drop the atomic elbow, but anyone that prevents Nieminen from getting on the scoresheet is fine by me.

It is so disheartening to see the skill we used to have playing on other teams. Yeah guys like Oullett, Surovy are nice to play with other NHL scorer types, but it it tough when they are all you have.
The Pens have some talent, some good looking young guys but until they obtain some NHL scoring talent we will have to suffer through this.
Also Gonchar QB ing the PP just doesn't work. I have not totally given up on him, but we need someone to skate the puck up with speed commanding the PK's respect as Straka & Kovy used to do. Let Whitney get used to taking the job. Jackman must be put back into the lineup to either play well & we keep him or play well & be showcased. They need to have some additional scoring since they just don't win games by D. Well they don't win period.
Time to reshape this team.

An empty net situation is the only time a player that is on a breakaway should be hauled down. If the goalie is in, let him make the save. Have some confidence in him.

Some of the Pens just can't do that......gonchar......

But at least RW hauled him down in good fashion and took his legs out from underneath him!

It's real easy for me to find all the flaws so I will challenge myself and only point out the positives for you.

Fleury was steller as usual. I hope this game dispells any myth that playing goalies to early in there careers will somehow "ruin" them or "scar" them.

Folks it all depends on the players attitude and his self confidence. Fleury has so much talent how else could he be anything but confident in himself?!?

Ouellete played decent. I think his hockey sense/instincts are underrated. I really beleive he is going to survive and prosper at the NHL level after watching this game and im very happy for him.

the Pens clearly have some needs at many positions,,
having said that they still have no system.

If this is MT's system(yawn) I am not sure he is the answer either.
Still taking the mental error penalties(i do blame MT for that..seeing how "he holds players to their actions")

Still dump and chase dump and chase, and a lot of times, dump and no chase.

And STILL NO IDENTITY. Talent or not, when you watch this team,,what is their style fo play? THere isnt one.

Teams that lacked the talent still have had an identity. They free wheel, the choke you off, whatever.

WE have none!
