Nick Horwat, who wrote the article, might as well be TIOPS part 2...but, I just listened to the podcast to confirm Roenick did indeed say what Horwat wrote. They talked about the Penguins from about the 19:30 mark on, and the Sullivan comment was around 25:30, if anyone wants to skim through the video.

Another good point Peel and Roenick brought up....Malkin's point totals are off, Karlsson's point totals are off, even Letang's points are falling off a bit. Then mentioned that Smith hasn't done anything, and they brought up Eller as another disappointment (Roenick seemed to think they brought Eller in to score and put up points; I don't think that was the intent, and Eller has been solid IMO).

Both guys said the Penguins need to start a rebuild, but said Crosby won't sit through that (I'm not so sure), but then they both said he should be a Penguin for life, or retire rather than sit through a rebuild.

Overall, I'm not too worried about this loss, mainly because I expected to win this game and lose against Vancouver. It was flipped, so no biggie.

But, they are going up against a Calgary team that is 7-3 in their last 10, and won their last 4 in a row...plus Edmonton. Need more than just 2 points out of those 2 games.

While the team just won 3 in a row, I'm expecting them now to go back to the .500 back and forth, win one, lose one...which gains them no ground.

3rd Period was not a good effort.Looked like a team that didn't have anything left to give.No Offensive Pressure.
Rakell and Smith with terrible nights.They are both weaknesses as Top 6 Wingers who haven't produced all Year.
The PP again cost them another game.Coaches have shown they won't change it up since no one gets held accountable.
Jarry was strong.Can't do anything more than he did.
Letang had a real bad game.Malkin was awful as well.They were a disaster late in this game with decisions and poor play.

After an encouraging 1st Period the Pens lack of ability to get an early goal was a killer and the failed PP chances did them in once again.Watching Smith play like a guy who is out the door is a big negative night in night out.Seattle didn't do that much in this one but the Pens never found a way to capitalize on that.

Playing without two best wingers and the next 2 are Rakell and Smith, then a zero isnt a surprise.. Rakell has picked up a bit lately tho!?

Anyway,this team wont make playoffs.. we should be sellers at trade deadline and Sullivan HAS to be fired,.
