On what I consider the same line as Yubb's example...the GEICO commercial where they say auctioneeers make bad cashiers...Apparently he's pretty great, he's running up the price of something immaterial and no one is leaving. Die GEICO.

The worst part about that commercial is the guy behind her bid up groceries being sold at retail. He's stuck overpaying for groceries. She can walk to the back of the store, pick up those same groceries and go through the checkout line a second time. On the off-chance that the cashier bids her up again, she can try a different cashier. If every cashier in the store does this, try a different store.Idoit40fans wrote:On what I consider the same line as Yubb's example...the GEICO commercial where they say auctioneeers make bad cashiers...Apparently he's pretty great, he's running up the price of something immaterial and no one is leaving. Yes, I've thought too much about this.
I think there's a blonde and a brunette.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:There's more than one?dodint wrote:I'd like to meet the Beezid ladies.

Thats exactly what annoys me about it. So this guy is going to pay more for it AND they are getting her to pay for it anyway.JS© wrote:She can walk to the back of the store, pick up those same groceries and go through the checkout line a second time.

Pigs can't talk. That messes up a bunch of their commercials.

The original blonde is named Charity Winters, who had a show on E! at some point. The next blonde is called Casey Gagliardi, and she used to have a Model Mayhem profile. The redhead is also Casey Gagliardi, after a trip to the salon.dodint wrote:Blonde and a redhead.

And that one where he is for some reason saying "boots and pants and boots and pants". I don't understand it and would like to put the person that came up with that in an elevator with ray rice.MalkinIsMyHomeboy wrote:#plotholesingeicocommercials

The Progressive radio commercials with Flo singing. WTF? I would be so ticked if I was a Progressive customer and part of my premiums were paying for that s***.

I am a longtime Progressive customer, but I don't mind those radio commercials. I actually think some of them are funny.

I've had Progressive since I got my first car (3 years ago...same car) and my rate has hiked up ~$20 a month thanks to a speeding ticket (75 on a 55 and it literally opened up to a 65 in less than a mile) I got and a speeding ticket my sister-in-law got while driving my car.
gonna try to switch.

I hate the USAA commercials. I understand the premise, but I hate it anyway. It's so irrational I'm not even going to try and defend my angst.

The ads for limited-edition Pepsi with "real sugar." These ads immediately raise two questions:
1. If Pepsi with "real sugar" is so much better and awesomer than regular Pepsi, then why isn't all Pepsi made with sugar?
2. Are you saying your flagship product is inherently inferior to alternatives?
Of course, we all know regular Pepsi is made with corn syrup because it's cheaper, but most companies aren't stupid enough to advertise in a way that essentially tells everyone that.

Re: What current ad campaign makes you contemplate homicide?
They just raised my rates $10/mo. Haven't had a ticket since early 2011, but I had to submit a claim back in June for an accident where I was a passenger. That shouldn't have anything to do with my rates...should it?MalkinIsMyHomeboy wrote:I've had Progressive since I got my first car (3 years ago...same car) and my rate has hiked up ~$20 a month thanks to a speeding ticket (75 on a 55 and it literally opened up to a 65 in less than a mile) I got and a speeding ticket my sister-in-law got while driving my car.

Just heard it on the ride home and although the guys sounds like the guy that does the Geico pig commercials it is a Mobil One commercial.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:I think there is one about Schenectady, NY that drives me crazy.Idoit40fans wrote:And that one where he is for some reason saying "boots and pants and boots and pants". Re: What current ad campaign makes you contemplate homicide?
There's this Funny Or Die produced commercial that at first seems like is just a Volkswagen commercial but then turns out to be a huge Target commercial too. It then goes on to be NOT FUNNY IN THE SLIGHTEST. Seriously, its one of the least funny or interesting commercials I've ever seen. Its so absolutely terrible. They don't even make a joke.

This isn't related to a specific commercial, but whoever decided it was ok for commercials to be played at twice the volume of the actual broadcast should be hanged, drawn and quartered. I've been experiencing this with the broadcasts on iheartradio throughout the preseason thus far. RAGE.

The fedex ground commercial that is always on the radio where they move the company into someone's house to save money. So sick of hearing someone say "Doesn't have your name on it" with food in their mouth.

God that stupid Chevrolet commercial that tries to latch onto Mo'ne Davis.
Almost as intellectually offensive as Mazda comparing their stupid cars to Jackie Robinson.
