What a huge injury for the Bruins.Partially torn MCL in his left knee for David Krejci, per Bruins. He'll be out for four to six weeks.
Also, completely unrelated... I know we've talked about this, but the fact that the worst team in the league only has a 20% chance of netting the #1 draft pick is ridiculous.

I keep getting this weird feeling one of the better teams is going to win it, like Dallas or Colorado or New Jersey.Avyran wrote:What a huge injury for the Bruins.Partially torn MCL in his left knee for David Krejci, per Bruins. He'll be out for four to six weeks.

Buzzfeed Title: You won't believe how Wayne Simmonds treats this kid struggling from back surgery!
Real story: Flyers hosted a Make-a-Wish kid for a day, signing him to a one-day contract. The kid had a tumor on his spinal cord at a younger age. Jakub Voracek showed him around, brought him out to the practice, & all of the Flyers helped him have a pretty awesome day. Simmonds jokingly asked him to drop the gloves. Even frickin' Zac Rinaldo comes off as an okay person. Voracek drove him to the game, they gave his family a suite, etc. Voracek also bought him an X-Box after seeing he wanted one at Dave & Buster's (they went together).
Even the Flyers are good people off the ice, for the most part.

If Rinaldo came of as an ok person, it means that video is a pretty inaccurate gauge.

Anyone have a gif/vid of Kane getting boarded? Twitter just exploded but I have no idea what happened. I guess a penalty wasn't called either. Out for the year?

Angle 1... angle 2/3. Seems like nothing bad from the defender.dodint wrote:Anyone have a gif/vid of Kane getting boarded? Twitter just exploded but I have no idea what happened. I guess a penalty wasn't called either. Out for the year?
(FYI: To find the gfycats, I go to http://reddit.com/r/hockey. If it's not on the main page, then I try the new portion.)

As opposed to asking you?
Thanks.
There was a 2 minute crosscheck called there. Might be the lightest cross check call in the history of the league.

Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
Once Kane falls out of the race, the top 5 scorers in the league will likely be from the Metro division. As it is, 9 of the top 14 are from the metro. Weird.

Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
I keep watching the play, and man, it doesn't look like Kane took that big of a shot from behind. He looks like he went down sort of easy, but wow did he hit the boards hard. It just seems like a typical little shove that happens hundreds of times a night. Was Kane trying to draw a penalty without the injury happening of course??

like crosby's ankle injury in 2008, i'm putting that in to the, "there's a more than decent chance that he injured himself trying to buy a call" category

I didn't notice it at first, but he toe picks his left skate after contact happens.Pruezy11881 wrote:I keep watching the play, and man, it doesn't look like Kane took that big of a shot from behind. Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
That's what I was getting at before. The cross check was so weak. On twitter you would've thought he was cut in half and then thrown into the boards.
That being a penalty and the Ovechkin 'shot' not being a slash? Weird league.

Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
Edzo was also acting like Kane was shanked from behind and then his family was murdered. I agree- the crosscheck looked really light- the kind of stuff you see 50 times a game.dodint wrote:That's what I was getting at before. The cross check was so weak.
