Are the Penguins on the clock to hire a head coach before the coach talent pool is drained?

It should be well before the draft. What drafted player wants to know about the coach before being drafted? Probably, all.

Dubas just mentioned the plan is to have coach in place by June 1. He's currently overseas at the World Championships, and plans to have final in person interviews next week when he returns.

Interesting. It also makes you wonder who's still really in play.
I've read in various places that Woodcroft is the favorite in Boston. If that holds any weight, that means Seattle and Pittsburgh are likely talking to some of the same candidates. Love, DJ Smith, Leach, Quinn, Bannister—and God knows who else?

Hearing Mitch Love has also interviewed in Boston. Sounds like Love may end up having his pick of any open head coaching position.

Boston is interviewing Luke Richardson as well. That's one candidate I hope we steer clear from.

Sounds like both Pens and Boston are looking to hire their HC by June 1st as well.
