Lol, what a joke reporter. He knew the tone of his report and he wrote it on purpose to make it interesting to people, he's starting to back away now.

Even though I said the article contained no real information and meant nothing, it was written in an EXTREMELY loaded manner

edit: First line of his article is this, what did he expect the reaction to be? lol
Jaromir Jagr is without a contract to play hockey next season.

I never read these multi-page threads all the way through. Isn't that like Identity Theft or something? You should worry about the mods showing up at your door Shaf.

I guess. I mean, I read the article and wondered why anyone was talking about the team signing him, because it clearly stated nothing in there to that effect. Rossi may well be a joke of a reporter, but I'm not sure this is the finest example of that.

Idk I guess it is an opinion, I read the article (before I heard the reaction) and thought, wow Rossi is REALLY trying to stir something out of nothing here.

True. Many of the comments in this thread are testamants to how leading the article was.

On the contrary, America shows the initiative to make up false quotes and post them in message forums. Americans are quite motivated.

he looked decent in the Olympics. I wouldn't argue at all if we brought him back to take Kovy's spot. There's not a chance Kovy is > Jagr at this point.

No Rossi isn't pandering to his previous article at all:
For #tribpens followers: Why should #Pens pursue #Jagr, and what are realistic expectations and/or concerns?

Jagr has just scored a hat trick at the Worlds against USA.

I'd sign him if this were financially possible.

I feel that being piqued by a player's tantrum is OK for a few minutes/hours/days.

But if our main concern is team success, then it's a no-brainer.

I second an earlier opinion that considering Kennedy / Johnson / Tangradi etc. etc. for service as a top 6 forward
is ridiculous compared to considering adding even an old Jagr.

(Not that it is not ridiculous on its own merits, without Jagr in the picture, but that's a different topic.)

I understand that Kris Beech will be at the golf tournament.
Maybe they could sign him instead?

I heard Kris Beech is sponsoring the event in the hopes of anyone signing him.

If I had realize Rossi was writing it, I wouldn't have read it. If I ever have the opportunity to punch that ******* in the teeth, i'll struggle not to take it. I could do a better job covering the Pens without any access to the team. Faceoff-Factor already does.

He would be a great addition for the next time the Penguins play in the Olympics.
