I picked it up from a site that said it was near OhioPyle, so I just assumed in was in Fayette County. Maybe they got their postings mixed up... Gorgeous place none the less

No there are tons of houses up that way that are like this. I'd love to live up that way but you're so far from all things civilization (my drive to work would be almost 2 hours). It's God's country up that way.

My next door neighbor growing up had a house on Deer Lake...their place was awesome, but compared to some of the mansions on that lake, it was modest.

We rented a place very similar to that in Deep Creek MD for a week. It was right after the big snowpacolypse in March of 09. They truly are awesome homes but I can't imagine the upkeep on keeping the wood look new.

If you're gonna set the place on fire, don't litter.
(CBS/AP) GREENSBURG, Pa. - A western Pennsylvania man who was linked to an arson by DNA on a discarded beer can will spend five to 10 years in prison.

Now he's got a different kind of drinking problem.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports 61-year-old John Kimmel, of Uniontown, took an 11th-hour plea bargain on Tuesday and was immediately sentenced by Westmoreland County Judge John Blahovec.

Kimmel was arrested more than two years ago for setting fire to a home in East Huntingdon Township in March 2009 to cover up the fact that he had been stealing items from the residence.

Witnesses saw a man who threw away a beer can nearby, and other evidence led police to question Kimmel. Officers then matched DNA on the discarded can to other used beer cans at Kimmel's house.

I have a feeling that someone with enough money to buy that place would have no problems affording to pay someone to maintain the wood.

Mac, did you ever go to "Wheels of 8" on route 51 before it got taken down? I found an old birthday invitation there. I miss that place.

I may have Been there once.

My skating place of choice was FayWest skating rink in Everson/Bullskin. Torpedo kerosene heaters ensured everyone got contact highs

Heard the word "Fayettenamese" today from an older guy who works outside of Uniontown. If it rolled off the tongue easier, I would have no problem using that word to describe the good people of Fayette County.

I think I should be the creator of this thread, not ham and eggers who barely live in Fayette county or people that drove through once or twice.
