The US - Swiss game is out of hand at this point. About midway through the second period and the US is just clowning them, 10-1. Impose the mercy rule...

Caps one point out of 1st place in the League... Orpik out since early November... Coincidence?
(I do not remember the last time I took a shot at Orpik so I think that I was overdue)

So, some floozy beat up Alex Galchenyuk over the weekend. Michel Therrien's gonna have a ball with that.

Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
How does farnham get 4 games for the interference. He should be suspended but 4 games? He didn't hit the guys head, it was late, but 4 games? Dubinksy gets 1 for cross checking someones head and farnham gets 4 for a late hit? What a joke. Also a joke around the same time of sid getting cross checked in the head there was 2 other incidents and I think both of those barely got a second look. NHL you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Agree. They are as all over the board as the refs are. No rhyme nor reason as to what they call or do.PensHckyFan79 wrote:How does farnham get 4 games for the interference. Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
Three team trade:
The Canadiens got 33-year-old John Scott (Arz) and 27-year-old defenseman Victor Bartley (Nas).
The Coyotes got 23-year-old defenseman Jarred Tinordi (Mtl), plus minor-league forward Stefan Fournier (Mtl).
The Predators got 24-year-old defenseman Stefan Elliott (Arz).
I thought that some people here were saying that Jarred Tinordi was some stud prospect?

He'd better be. The Coyotes gave up an ALL STAR team captain for him!Jim wrote:I thought that some people here were saying that Jarred Tinordi was some stud prospect?
Speaking of which, I'm curious how this will impact the All Star rosters

Some interesting talk out there about how this was an arranged thing to keep Scott out of the All-Star game.bhaw wrote:He'd better be. The Coyotes gave up an ALL STAR team captain for him!Jim wrote:I thought that some people here were saying that Jarred Tinordi was some stud prospect?

Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
I'm taking Drouin's side here in his no show for AHL. He's played 7 games in the AHL on what was described as a conditioning stint. That's enough. His agent is correct saying that he could get injured needlessly playing more games in the AHL.
Bolts are going to get fleeced now.

Looks like Despres will be back for the Ducks tonight. Wish him the best. Missed almost half the season due to a concussion.

A wasted opportunity for the penguins.NHL Public Relations @PR_NHL 3m3 minutes ago
Jarome Iginla (@Avalanche) scored his 97th career game-winning goal to tie Guy Lafleur (97) for 8th in NHL history.
Jarome's time as a penguin and how he was coached and then shipped right out... core gone clique-ish ?

Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
Dan O'rourke, who is reffing the Lightning-Jets game tonight needs to be fired. Stralman takes out a Jet with a knee then hit Little with a head shot and Wheeler jumps him. They give Stralman one rough and then Wheeler a double. Maurice rightfully loses it and gets a bench minor. So they go on a four minute penalty kill when it should have been a major PP.
The NHL needs to start fining thaw guys who think they are bigger than the game and make horrible decisions.

Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
Interesting. Eric Staal says he wouldn't be crushed if he's traded after the deadline. After Jordan signs a forever contract to play with him. Giggity. I suppose he could resign in the off-season at a cheaper rate, but being his last contract, I'd doubt that. And it's going to be hard for Ronnie Franchise to move Jordan's albatross of a deal.

Louis Eriksson...change one black and gold uni for another? No, will not happen. Will beau ever return? Plotnikov, a wasted asset, and Zatkoff dismissed by the coach .

Daniel Winnik, 7 games in Washington, zero points, 8 hits. Proving that his failure after the trade deadline last year was NOT a fluke.
