On this diet for the past 3 months - 30 pounds lost - 10 more to go Now i am going on vacation!!! Pizza, wings, hoagies, beer every night. not looking to bright for weight loss. Torn between trying to keep it going or just let loose.
it doesn't have to be one or the other. I got a Fitbit Flex a few weeks ago and logging my food has forced me to see how easy it is to simply make better choices when dining out. I can be bad but I don't have to go absolutely crazy.
for instance, wings. next to my local rink is a Miler's Ale House and I LOVE their garlic wings. if you eat 10 of the regular wings (I usually only eat 5) that's 2,060 calories
if I ask them to not bread them that cuts the calorie count down significantly.
On my diet 2200 is my calorie intake for one day. I still eat fun items and drink beer. I just make sure i don't go over that 2200 limit. Michelobe Ultra 95 calories a beer, granted a 6 pack is 570 calories but i can fit that in some days. When i goto the beech though i hate to control myself, and i end up drinking all day long. Oh well will just pick up where i left off when i get back.at home i make baked wings and my friends all love them. Adding baking powder and leting them dry out in the fridge makes them crispy when you cook them.
Yeah i try to be careful about how i use the word diet. I just try to eat a diet that allows me the enegy to lift what i want to lift. Im not trying to lose weight. Drinking offseason is ending though with nfl training camp starting up.
Wings are probably the worst food in terms of amount of calories/fat vs. how long it takes to eat them
I remember seeing some horrific stat on Hooters' wings awhile back and I could never go back there. 5 breaded wings were 800 calories.
I know there were a few times we went there for all you can eat wings after a Pens game and went north of 20 wings and had "a few" beers. I wouldn't be surprised if the caloric intake from that sitting was in the range of 3700-4000 calories.
Hooters may have saved my life a couple months ago.
Left E3 and walked across the street to catch the train back to the office. Passed Hooters, and saw it was showing the first match of the World Cup. So I popped my head in for a few minutes and partook in some sightseeing. Left, and ended up missing the train by like 2 minutes. Three blocks south of the station, the train hit a car.
The scenery is nice, but their wings are damn good
I got their wings twice. Once at station square with my friend's dad and i was there for scenery. Other time in vegas at 4 am and that was for sustenance but not specifically wings, scenery was not good and place smelled like ****. Other times ive been there was for beer.

I worried for nothing, I ended up letting loose and drank and ate a lot more then I usually do. Seems my metabolism is so cranked up over all the cardio I have been doing I ended up burning off all the calories I consumed. Also I played with the kids and swam everyday that helped also. Put on .5 pounds on during the week. Back to my routine jogged 3 miles this AM..
Just hiked about 4.5 miles. It wasn't real serious elevation change, but it was constantly up and down on pretty rough terrain, so it was a pretty good workout. I feel surprisingly decent.
to strengthen forearms for hockey and riding my motorcycle. However, dumbells are tough to come by in the gym on high traffic days so I'd like to switch to doing this with a barbell with both wrists at the same time, except I'd be standing. Similar to this, but I want the bar in front:
Spoiler:
Why is the bar turned to the back? Is there any benefit to doing it the way I want or would I be wasting my time? If I'm doing 25lbx25repx2set now in isolation what weight would I need for a barbell and would doing both forearms at the same time be less beneficial? I can't think of anymore questions.
It seems that the difference between the 2 is that the second gif show less strain on tendons and ligaments in the forearm. It looks like it works the same muscle groups with less chance of injury. I just tried both motions and I think the second one is better for you but you may need to increase weight or reps for the same result with less doing the first one.
Are you comparing the two gifs or the second gif with the modification I suggested? (curling a barbell in front at full downward extension of the arms)
Yeah, I used to do that. Looks cool and burns pretty good. My gym also has a machine that uses that same motion, but I'm already using a rack with a barbell to do another exercise so I'm trying to considate my moving around.
Anyone have experience with HST workouts. (Hypertrophy Specific Training) i have been reading on it, it appeals to me since it looks like its just a 3 day a week workout and is supposed to just work on adding size and some strenght?
