Richardson was my number 1 choice available at that time. :scared:

Mine too, which is why I picked him. :slug:

Although I also considered Shady McCoy, but Cleveland's o-line is projected to be better and Bryce Brown and Felix Jones might take away some of his carries even though it sounds like the Eagles are going to run the ball a lot.

I didn't think he was going to make it to me, but I thought he'd fall a little further.

I was hoping for Mega at 6 but didn't figure he'd get past beer. Still, I'm plenty happy with either Rice or Shady, definite drop off after those 2.

I wanted Trich least of the top 6. :pop:

The draft matches my draft board, although I would probably have taken Rice over Richardson---though, I'd probably be indifferent. Nice trade to get into the top 6!

My board was AP, Mega, Charles, McCoy, Rice, T-Rich. Splitting hairs on those 4 RBs, though, really.

I HATE drafting QBs in the first two rounds, but its real difficult to pass up Rodgers at 9th.

This league can't break the cycle of QBs going in the first two rounds. So long as they keep going then, few will be kept and with the consistency and longevity at the position, its difficult for others to break in. Tough to avoid, but, yeah, that's a fine pick there.

And you're going to get in ahead of the upcoming run.

But, I think you made the right decision. This keeper league skews things. Of the players that are typically draftable in the first two rounds many of the position players are kept---RBs frequently have breakout seasons the year before they are top-two-round picks, so they are kept for the lower pick they were drafted the year before. On the other hands, QBs are steadier from year to year, so it's rarely worth giving up the extra round pick in the next year.

Yeah, Rodgers wouldn't fall out of the first round in a redraft league. I'm fine with the pick, its just against my usual thought process.

Kind of my thought on taking Brees. I am pretty comfortable with my keepers (2 RBs and a WR), and I really don't feel like I had value since so many of the top WRs were kept from last year. Definitely worth a take at 10.

I actually told Kraftster earlier, that's why I didn't mind backing up in the 1st round a bit, since I figured a top QB would be available.

From what I've been told, he's been seen mid-second in redrafts this year, actually. Seems the consensus is there's not as much separation at QB his year and more at RB.

It was actually a tough decision for me between the two of them.

Comfortable? Even with losing Harvin?

I was hoping Brees or Rodgers would fall to me....turned out to be just a pick two out of a crap heap. Went with guys from competent offenses.
