I can't stand Hornswoggle. I get why the kids like him, though. Putting him with Shemus would be risky and would likely turn Shemus face. People love that little guy, a lot. Plus Shemus' whole schtick has been trying to get people to take him seriously. Him teaming with Hornswoggle wouldn't really help his cause much.

I've really been disappointed in the Jericho/Edge build. Y2J has been awesome in interviews, but consistently made to look stupid by Edge. Right now, I have no reason to believe that Jericho can beat Edge. Also the whole "Spear! Spear! Spear!" thing is really stupid. I hope they turn Edge heel after WM.

The Straight Edge Society is the best thing going in professional wrestling right now. I'd like to see them add one or two more mid-carders to the stable to elevate them to the next level.

I miss having some good tag teams. Not just random wrestlers thrown together. I'm talking about the New Age Outlaws, Legion of Doom, Dudley Boys, Hardy Boys (before Matt Hardy got big).

Popular or fat? But yes, I agree.....tag team wrestling is dead. The only legitimate tag team out there I like is the Hart Dynasty, but they don't even use them.

I'm going through RAW right now. It airs at 6pm here and I like to start it a little later to FF through the BS. The Miz is awesome. Not only did he find a way to reference the Bushwackers, but he also talked about The Allied Powers.

TNA won't air until 9 which gives me time to watch them back to back. With that, and with the invention of DVR, this new Monday Night War is going to be way easier to follow.

OK so Raw was pretty crappy. I DVR'd TNA, but did catch a few small tidbits: RVD squashing Sting in 10 seconds, and something that made me LOL, Jeff Hardy returning only to have the show go off the air right as he was about to hit the Swanton on someone........classic TNA.

i used to watch wrestling all the time when I was a kid, with andre and hulk... right up through college with austin and the rock. I haven't watched it regularly in years, but I'll turn it on from time to time. I haven't seen much TNA, but what I have seen, I didn't like. Half the roster is over the hill former WWE guys, and the other half are spot machines with unrealistic offense.

I think I'm going to pop in my mid to late '90's AJPW tapes at some point this week. Nothing better than guys getting dropped on their heads and chops so hard people break their hands.

WWE isn't wrestling anymore and so predictable. TNA is just so much more refreshing.

This is going to be long. My thoughts on the official first night of the new Monday Night War:

TNA did a smart thing with the opening. They immediately set themselves apart from WWE's PG product with cursing and blood. Unfortunately, they both came from an elderly Hulk Hogan, but whatever. How bout those hair extensions he's wearing? Hey Hulk, having blonde extensions clipped on to silver hair doesn't look very good.

I don't mind WWE being a PG product on their weekly TV shows, but there are times during PPVs when blood would really get a match over. Think of Stone Cold screaming in agony while bleeding in the Sharpshooter at WM 13. Do you think that image would've been nearly as powerful and been able to establish Stone Cold as a top talent if he wasn't bleeding profusely? I wouldn't mind seeing WWE take a PG approach for TV and a PG 13 PPV.

TNA failed in that they didn't let ANYBODY have time on the mic without immediately being interrupted/sneak attacked. They have to assume a lot of people are watching TNA for the first time tonight. They didn't give one wrestler the time to build a persona. The only people that got time on the mic were Hogan and the nWo. That makes sense. They're concentrating SO much on having top tier ex-WWF/WCW talent, that they're forgetting about the middle card. RVD is awesome but he's going to get lost in the shuffle of main eventers there already. Case in point: RVD squashes Sting, Sting assaults him with a bat, and who comes out? HOGAN. It's always about Hogan. Somehow they managed to make the debut of a huge signing be about Sting and Hulk Hogan. It'd be great if TNA would go through their roster and cut all the has-beens (or never-weres). How much better would Impact be without Hogan, Flair, Nash, Hall, Sixpac, Sting, Bishoff, Foley, Jeff Jarrett, Nasty Boys, and yes, even Team 3D. Move to the side, old men, let somebody else have your spot.

As far as RAW goes, it was okay. I know somebody said that they thought the Undertaker/HBK match was going to end in a double countout. I love the stipulation of no disqualifications, no countouts. There's going to be a clear winner, and that's awesome. That was a great opener. The Triple Threat with Legacy and Orton was very good and I'm glad Legacy got the win. I have no idea what they're going to do at Mania, though. Probably another Triple Threat, but there has to be some sort of stipulation. The main event ended a fairly decent show (if lacking in actual wrestling) on a bad bad note. What a horrible regurgitation of a Vince/Stone Cold match. Speaking of...

Steve Austin hosting next week's RAW is going to be awesome. TNA better have something big to counter that. I hope WWE brings back JR just so he can shout, "STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD!" Not only will Stone Cold be there, but WWE already announced THREE main events. Cena vs. Big Show, Jericho vs. HBK, and HHH vs. Randy Orton. Also, Bret Hart will be there for a contract signing. WWE may not see TNA as a major threat, but it sure seems like they're coming out with guns blazing.

I don't know how anyone can say TNA"s show was awesome last night. It was average at best, and Raw was below average. Both shows... nothing great, and lots of crap.

Hogan is going to be the death of TNA, he has to be in EVERY segment, and the guy is a joke to watch. He can barely even walk to the ring. The main event with him and Flair... wow.. watching to guys in that shape wrestle is tough to watch. Hogan was never the most nimble guy, but he was limbering just walking around. The only worthwhile worker in that whole match was AJ Styles, and I fell bad he was saddled with Hogan and Flair... he is well above that.
