So is there any benefit to benching players who aren't playing that particular night? Obviously, I play as many active players as I can, but often just leave non-active players in slots that I can't fill with an active player. I noticed my opponent takes out of his/her players and benches them. Does it matter?

this may be true. sometime around November I just stopped giving a damn about fantasy hockey. pretty much bailed on all my teams.

I did that with my football teams this past season. Got behind the eight ball with a terribad roster and couldn't gain any ground. And won the league? A guy who doesn't even watch football. Autodrafted most of his team. :/
