I definitely like Sjax over Gore. Gore's numbers dropped when Kaepernick took over.

Kind of my thought on taking Brees. I am pretty comfortable with my keepers (2 RBs and a WR), and I really don't feel like I had value since so many of the top WRs were kept from last year. Definitely worth a take at 10.

I actually told Kraftster earlier, that's why I didn't mind backing up in the 1st round a bit, since I figured a top QB would be available.

Comfortable? Even with losing Harvin?

I was hoping Brees or Rodgers would fall to me....turned out to be just a pick two out of a crap heap. Went with guys from competent offenses.
Christ, I didn't even hear about that until just now.

My team is torpedoed before the season even starts.

All 6 of the players I drafted were on my team last year.

Also, Idoit, great pick with MJD there. I was definitely considering taking him as a 3rd RB if he was still around at my pick.

I think Fitz is going to have a big year with Arians as coach and Carson Palmer as QB.

I had them in the same group, but I would probably have taken Fitz over White.

I had the same as equals. Fitz was better than Roddy before last season's QB debacle. Fitz is a better WR, fantasy aside, as well. Add a passable middle-of-the-pack QB and a good passing offensive-minded coach, and I think he'll be in the 9-14 range in points a lot with an occasional extra TD.

i think "passable middle of the pack QB" is generous for palmer.

Perhaps passable is different than middle-of-the-pack. He's definitely passable in comparison to those that threw to Fitz in the earlier years.

BWRA in the draft. You cannot top his consistency over the past 4 years.

Fitz was not better than Roddy prior to last year.

White vs. Fitzgerald
2009: 85/1,153/11 vs. 97/1,092/13
2010: 115/1,389/10 vs. 90/1,137/6
2011: 100/1,296/8 vs. 80/1,411/8
2012: 92/1,351/7 vs. 71/798/4

Ok well Megatron is undoubtedly better than either of them, so he definitely wasn't best in the draft. Your numbers there point to them being comparable recievers outside of Fitz' down year last year. If you have any confidence in Palmer at all, you assume Fitzgerald is back to 11-1200 yards and approaching double digits in TDs. Jones certainly isn't going to be the guy losing touches in the red zone to Jackson.

Right. How can White be BWRA if he is the second best WR on his team, seriously? And I totally agree with Idoit's analysis.

BWRA = Best Wide Receiver Available. So I think he meant White was the best WR available when it was my turn to pick.

Yeah, I meant after Megatron.

Julio Jones, blah blah. One of these days White will fall off, sure. But he's been regarded as overrated and his targets will fall off for three years now. Here we are again.

I wasn't suggesting with the stats that White was significantly better than Fitzgerald, but he's had better overall numbers and receptions during the past 4 years. Fitzgerald is elite. White was frequently left out of that Andre Johnson, Larry Fitz tier when his stats put him right there with those guys.

Given the consistency, I'll take him over Fitz. My comment that he crushes Fitz was hyperbole because of how criminally underrated I think White has been.
