Hold it in Cancun and it can be more than that: just hire that dude to run a shuttle from the hotel to the reception hall.

Wife and I have been to Jamaica 5x together and another time with the kids.
I love the "anecdotal" reviews. I'll provide more when I get in a keyboard instead of my phone.

Re: Wedding Planning Thread
Here's a situation I'm looking at now:
One of my closest friends is getting married (well I'd say he was closest before he got engaged, anyways). I actually introduced him to his fiance. The wedding is about 2.5 months away.
I haven't got an invitation yet (another friend hasn't either but apparently he got a save the date in his email a while back). If they are unable to invite me I'm completely ok with that - these are expensive parties and I know her family is enormous. But I'd like to start making plans for it if I am.
Is there any acceptable pretense to ask? Like I said, I know the pressure to invite/not invite people is huge and I wouldn't have any hard feelings. I just want to know.

Re: Wedding Planning Thread
do you already know all the details of the wedding? if not, then start asking. "Where's it going to be?" "Who'd you go with for catering?" "You nervous about it yet?" "You going on a honeymoon right after?" "What day is it again?"
Side note: Anyone know much about Betsy's barn? I was at a wedding reception there once and it was awesome, but it seems like it may be pricey.

Going for an engagement session soon.. anyone have any ideas of where to go? I'm sure our photographer will have some too, but just wanted some suggestions. We were thinking of somehow incorporating our dogs for the save the date invites.

We included our dogs in the engagement photos and a few actual wedding photos. It was a poop show but totally worth it.mac5155 wrote:Going for an engagement session soon.. anyone have any ideas of where to go? I have no doubt my one dog will behave. I think he understands English.
My other dog, i'm worried about. He's a good dog just very hyper and crazy when they are both together. I can bring a family member or two to handle them. Im still up in the air on including them in some wedding shots...

Re: Wedding Planning Thread
Hey all, can anyone assist me with this - I know the trend lately is to do a lot of things online, I want to make a website for our wedding, with maps, links, useful information, etc. on it... anyone recommend a site to do this? I want to get this done within the next 2-3 weeks so we can include the URL on our save the dates/invitations.

Re: Wedding Planning Thread
Honestly, the knot was the easiest one to set up and use, and the URL was something that was easy to put onto invitations. (ie- not a bunch of random letters and numbers in the URL that no one will remember.)mac5155 wrote:Hey all, can anyone assist me with this - I know the trend lately is to do a lot of things online, I want to make a website for our wedding, with maps, links, useful information, etc. on it... anyone recommend a site to do this?
