The high here (Chicago) tomorrow is -11. THE HOTTEST IT WILL BE TOMORROW IS NEGATIVE ELEVEN! Windchill is expected to dip down in the -50 range. I just walked home (about 5 minutes) on a windy 8 degree night. My teeth chattered I was so cold. I cannot for the life of me imagine what 20 degrees colder feels like.

Not that they're all that believable...but out here on the eastern side of the state, they're calling for a high of 50 tomorrow (likely in the early morning) and a low of 8. Followed by a high of 14 and wind on Tuesday.

That's cold and all, but it's annoying that it won't stay this cold long enough for the ponds to freeze over well enough...40's and 50's by the end of the week...

That Chicago weather sounds brutal, Hammer...I don't think I've ever been in temperatures that cold before...

No class tomorrow. I'm actually surprised, since the last time we had something like this (which was also complete with ice everywhere), we still had to go to class, and I still had to take the chemistry midterm I wasn't prepared for.

From tonight at 7pm until Tuesday at noon, expect wind chills of 20 below or worse. It will be the worst between 1am and 8am, where the wind chill is expected to be -27.

schools closing in ATL metro tomorrow because the low is going to be around 5 degrees. seriously? get your *** up and drive your kids to school! if that's not possible have the kids wait inside until the bus gets there. that's what we did when I was a kid.
