Oh, believe me, I know. This is just one of the weirder situations I've been in, lately.

Re: Rylan's Thread of Personal Committed Relationships
Did you talk to her face-to-face after you sent the first 2 texts? If so, did you confront her about receiving the texts? I'd have at least asked about that directly if I had that chance.
(If you had done that, I'm a poor reading comprehender)

I did not have the opportunity, given that it was finals week.

Copy that. Then I go with the rest of the group -- women are nuts sometimes.

Her boyfriend might have been there and she didn't respond.

It seems like you misread the situation. It happens.

Dude if you talked to her a lot you should have asked in person OR just tell her you put her number in your phone wrong.

Re: Rylan's Thread of Personal Committed Relationships
I haven't actually seen her in person since our physiology final. Hence why I was trying to set something up via text.
And I still don't really see what was wrong with what I said there, slappy. She hadn't answered. I prefer honesty over dodging. Didn't think that THAT would be the thing everyone got hung up on. All I wanted was a yes/no instead of silence.

Re: Rylan's Thread of Personal Committed Relationships
Nah sending that just makes you seem pathetic if indeed she was getting texts... I guess you could always try facebook instead. Either way you're what in your early 20's? Lots of girls out there, tons even. Go get one or two or however many you want.MRandall25 wrote:I haven't actually seen her in person since our physiology final. If you have to badger someone for an answer, they are not interested.

Re: Rylan's Thread of Personal Committed Relationships
Because it comes off as weak and that you have a lot of emotions. She doesn't owe you closure. You sent her a message, she ignored it. You sent a second, she ignored it. The third text makes me cringe and feel awkward for you.

Re: Rylan's Thread of Personal Committed Relationships
This is some high school level stuff.
Are you sure you have the right number? If you're positive, then the silence is the no. Take the hint and move on. She doesn't owe you a verbal answer. Take the social cue and move on.
Or, instead of sending texts, you could just call her. That is what the phone's main purpose is for.

The conclusion here is completely unambiguous.
Confused by the prolonged discourse.
