Coming back to tie should not change anything about Sullivan’s status. This game never should had been in question if the team was prepared to play and was coached correctly.

POJ benched in favor of Graves is just another reason Sullivan needs fired.

Yep. And to put him on the second line…. Even more confusing.DelPen wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:32 pmJeff Carter making space by simply existing has done more in two shifts than Make a Wish Kid did in 2.5 periods. What a really bizarre waiver claim. You want someone who can score in the AHL but can’t in the NHL just call up Nylander.

Was just gonna say that. The guy is a dummy. POJ has actually looked solid tonight with 58 too.DelPen wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:36 pmPOJ benched in favor of Graves is just another reason Sullivan needs fired.

Both Isles chances late were with Graves out there.

They won't get an OT shift but Puustinen and Eller were terrific in the 3rd Period.

How does this team still not understand how to play OT?

Back to the AHL for Puusty - played too hard and scored too many goals for Sullivan as a bottom-6er.Zalapski33 wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:42 pmThey won't get an OT shift but Puustinen and Eller were terrific in the 3rd Period.

Never even touched the puck, never even tried. Letang refuses to leave the ice.

Can't do a thing when Ned gives up a Goal like that.
Letang out there forever and backs up way too far,the entire OT session they were never close to doing a thing.

I don’t blame Sid or Letnag there, this team clearly has no plan or strategy once OT starts. Neither knew what to do when a player just skates at them because the Pens never do that when they have the puck so the concept is foreign to them.
Sullivan still coaching like it’s 2017.

A five spot isn’t going to help Ned’s trade value. Jake’s value already taken a hit. Dubas is losing player value each day that goes by at this point.

I just don't see the point to watching this team anymore.
It's supposed to be entertainment but this year it's just more frustration. I get enough of that at work.
Watching this Pens team feels a lot like calling my ex-wife just to chat.

I'm hanging around to hear about what a huge loser point this was, all the tremendous heart shown in the 3rd, all the incredible efforts, what an important game this was, etc. etc.

I thought my eyes were deceiving me - Lars Eller and Reilly Smith started OT? Over Sidney Crosby? Please tell me I'm wrong.

Coaching is horrible. The only reason they look somewhat decent is because of 87.

Re: Official GDT: Pens vs Isles 2/20/24
I don’t think anyone who watched the game would make them sour on Ned if they were already interested because the team in front of him was garbage for all but 10 minutes total. And one 5 goal game won’t impact his numbers if a GM only relates on relies on those.lemieuxReturns wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:47 pmA five spot isn’t going to help Ned’s trade value. OT should always be your best players to start. Tonight it should had been Sid, Rust and EK. But this was the same guy who slays sent Carter out to start to win the faceoff then when he never did he was stuck on the ice until we lost.Coffey Break wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:48 pmI thought my eyes were deceiving me - Lars Eller and Reilly Smith started OT?
