The voicemail password to me was an oversight. I don't think that it should be looked into too much. Many phones don't even require a password to get into voicemail. I also think you're giving Saul too much credit and Hank not enough. Hank is in it to win it at this point. He'll do anything to catch Walt, and if that means trailing Jesse until something of interest arises, then so be it.
Saul is a pretty simple guy... always worried about money and measuring his outs. Hank is quite literally fighting for his life. He realizes that Walt can absolutely bring him down with him unless he get's a smoking gun-type piece of evidence that connects Walt directly to a crime.
I think Jesse is going to meet a highly tragic end. As he said in last nights episode, you rarely catch Walt doing anything. He's too smart. It always turns out the opposite of what you plan to do... even now everyone knows that he is (was?) a monster, it turns out he really does care for Jesse, and wants to make things right with him.
First time I have had zero idea what is coming next since the show began. 4 hours left... I hate waiting a week.
Yeah, last night was a decent setup episode. Skyler at this point is just completely ruthless. Jesse, man...I think he's going to die as well. No way he lives through all this. Really hoping he takes out Todd before he goes though, but it doesn't look good. Before this season started, I read an interview with Vince Gilligan talking about how episode 6 of this season was the best they ever did, so, the wait for that is killing me. Makes me think not much will happen next week, but who knows at this point? So many turns on this show.
I have a bad feeling about Jesse. I'm cheering for him, but really there's no other real option. My guess is Hank convinces Jesse to try an meet up with Walt again. Walt kills Jesse on video and that's why Walt has to go on the run.
I'm curious what Jesse's "better" plan is. I can see his plan playing out in a way that seems successful. He makes a comment similar to "magnets, ********!" when it Walt realizes he's been caught and then Jesse gets killed.
With this show, I don't rule out anything. What "job" do you think Walt has for the Nazis? I bet it's not what we think. Jesse said he's gonna "hit 'em where it hurts" so maybe this is a protection gig for his family.
i think he said, "hit him where he really lives" or something like that. so instead of destroying his residency, he's going to destroy...i have no clue.
we're being made to believe that he called todd to have him and the nazis whack jesse. i don't think this is a misdirection. but todd and the nazis are probably already being traced to some extent by hank/gomez, so if this ends up in some giant two-way massacre with hank full of bullet holes, i wouldn't be surprised.
It would make sense for Jesse to go after Walt's family. But Hank is not going to let that happen. I guess. Hank is becoming quite obsessed with this case, so who knows.
I think when Jesse says he wants to hurt Walt "where he really lives", he means that he wants to outscheme the scheming bastard. Walt seems to take a lot of price in the fact that he, in his mind, is much more clever than every single one of his foes (and allies). So maybe that arrogance and pride will be his downfall. Jesse is most definitely not going to be able to pull it off on his own, though.
To quote Hank from the first episode of 5b... "I don't give a $*%@ about family" I really think that's the biggest difference between Hank and Walt. Walt, while being a complete bastard, still wants to keep his family (including Hank) safe. Hank doesn't care. He'll do whatever he can do to put Heisenberg away. If family happens to get involved, then so be it.

How would Hank know about Todd? Based on what Jesse told him? I don't remember the extent to which Jesse was involved with the Todd's family.
The first thing I thought of when Jesse said that was he was going to go after Walt Jr, but I still don't think he could do that. Maybe instead he calls for a "Meth Cook Off" against Walt to see who can make the best product. Saul will play the part of Alton Brown. Winner lives, loser dies. He did make reference to being the only one who could come close to Walt's cooking ability.
I read a theory of getting him where he really lives is that he's going to go and cook his recipe with todd, get caught and go down as the great heisenberg. take his greatness away from him. That one is kind of way out there.
I also read a theory that Walt and Jesse are in on it together. Doubt that too.

Common misconception I think--it's hard to hear because they're trying to talk at the same time, but Hank says "you don't give a %#&$ about family" as in, Walt. At least this is what the Reddit nerds have said.
One thing I thought was cool was how they had Hank buckle Jesse's seatbelt, like he was some precious artifact (or piece of evidence) that he didn't want to risk losing.

Jesse told Hank about Drew Sharp and the pest company, right? Enter Todd.
I actually buy the idea of Jesse planning to steal Walt's reputation as meth king and luring Walt out that way.

Why would Walt care? He's done and he has his money. Walt's reputation as "meth king" isn't exactly something he wants to be parading around Albuquerque.
