So it looks like there are 4 factions.

One faction of elves led by Dagny's character.
Another faction of Elves including Zaro's character.
Another faction of Elves including shad's character.
The reds which included Canaan's character.

I think shad's and zaro's factions could help the village if they unite, but could hurt it otherwise.

Shad is claiming to be part of a faction with dagny.

But Zaro's see says shad is in the faction that makes up half of the Union of Maedhros

As an aside, when I signed up for the game I had no idea it was based on anything. My anti-fantasy leanings are in full overdrive, so I'm just sitting here literally laughing out loud at you guys bickering about what it all means. I'm sitting at my wifes chemo treatment laughing, so thanks for that.

Which makes me think the 1st color signifies the Feanor side of the Union and the darkish green Zaro had signifies the other side.
