Re: Other NHL Games >>>>>>>
The NHL has spent a month hyping up and celebrating Rempe being a goon and he finally crossed the line, or is trying to be like his captain, and was tossed for an elbow.

And it’s a phone hearing. The NHL is not serious about protecting players from concussions with the way they keep allowing the same players make the same dirty hits over and over and they could had set an example with Rempe as zero tolerance for anyone coming into the league thinking this was fine.
I bet he gets one game because DOPS is garbage.

Re: Other NHL Games >>>>>>>
NHL promotes this Rempe nonsense, meanwhile he's out there running around like a maniac. It should be at least a 5 game suspension for that elbow. The fact that he waved to the Devils bench was also a joke. Guy is a clown. I've never understood why enforcers go after other enforcers when the enforcer takes out one of their players.
The enforcer should go after one of their star players instead. That's a real deterrent. MacDermid fighting Rempe doesn't do anything, but MacDermid laying out Panarin as retribution for what Rempe did/does will go much further.

I’d go after Shisterkin. And then Quick. Let’s see how far they go in the playoffs with their 3rd string.KG wrote: Tue Mar 12, 2024 12:48 pmNHL promotes this Rempe nonsense, meanwhile he's out there running around like a maniac. 4 games for Rempe. Dude better watch himself or he's going to have a short career. For a big guy, he's not a very good fighter. Saw video of him in juniors getting tuned up.

Getting sick watching the Caps making their way to the playoffs tonight up now 4-1 on Flames. Even worse Ovechkin gets 2 PP goals to make them 2 for 2 on PP.

Speaking of the Caps, looks like Tom Wilson is at it again and will (should) be suspended for quite a while. He intentionally attacked Gregor of the Leafs with a vicious high stick. The video is quite sickening.

Quite the shocker, really. He has always been a paragon of sportsmanship, and this behavior is quite surprising. I'm sure the DoPS will take his previous exemplary record into account and give him a firm reprimand, as is his due.offsides wrote: Thu Mar 21, 2024 4:09 pmSpeaking of the Caps, looks like Tom Wilson is at it again and will (should) be suspended for quite a while. DoPs will focus on Wilson having immediate remorse and Gregor not missing a shift, so 6 games. Maybe they would be serious(LOL) if Gregor had to go to the hospital immediately. They always punish the result, ignore the intent and unfortunately, the NHLPA seems to fully support that thinking.offsides wrote: Thu Mar 21, 2024 4:09 pmSpeaking of the Caps, looks like Tom Wilson is at it again and will (should) be suspended for quite a while. Not sure how many of you watch other teams play but if you love hockey you should watch Kaprizov play on the Wild. What a player this guy is.

Crazy game Devils at Rangers. EIGHT game misconduct penalties and 26 penalties overall in first 5 minutes. Probably slow down on fighting now with the shortened benches. Nuts to me but I'm sure a lot of people like it. I like hockey not WWE or boxing.

Svechnikov with a lacross goal and it was a beauty vs. the Bruins tonight. Swayman didn't know whether to cry or wind his watch.

1st round
I would like these results:
Canes
Fla
Leafs
CAPS, just to beat the rangers
Predators
J E T S
Dallas
Kings
Dallas v canes or leafs?
I miss that play off excitement

Bruins use Heinen on their top power play. System and coaching is a big deal apparently!

Re: Other NHL Games >>>>>>>
The easiest way to fix using LTIR to load up your team at the deadline and then having a team millions over the cap for the playoffs.
Make LTIR a mandatory 30 day period. You get cap relief for the 30 days. When it’s up you can extend it but you have to stay on 30 days. If you think a player will be ready to play in a week you can put them on regular IR but you lose your cap relief.
With Stone, he was injured on Feb 20. Now what’s kind of funny is that was 61 days ago so his 2nd 30 day window was up yesterday. But this surely is a huge coincidence, and I am not being snarky here. But LTIR needs to be scrutinized more and teams abusing it should lose draft picks to start and then take cap penalties if it’s repeat abuse.
Maybe Stone wasn’t an ideal example this year but it would clear up a lot of guy getting injured near the trade deadline and then being good to go for game 1 of the playoffs. As long as the trade deadline is more than 30 days prior to the end of the season this will prevent a lot of the abuse we see. Teams will need to get cap complaint to bring most of the players off to play game 1 unless injuries are luckily timed. Stone on Feb 20 would be a prime candidate to review to make sure there was nothing fishy about that date.

7 goals by the jets with 8 mins; maybe AVS take a look at Jarry ?
12 goals total. 7-5, anyone's game.

One can hope! Georgiev isn't the answer. Avs don't defend enough. Can expect to win games 7-6 in the playoffs.penny lane wrote: Sun Apr 21, 2024 9:29 pm7 goals by the jets with 8 mins; maybe AVS take a look at Jarry ?
