So what exactly are you expecting him to do with a bunch of 3rd and 4th liners to trade?Antonio wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 9:37 amI have to say so far, I am wildly disappointed in KD and how little he has done and how little that little was given the insane prices we KEEP seeing players being moved for. At this juncture, I can only say it seems like total and complete ineptitude to not be able to cash in on what is clear an insanely overpriced sellers market. Yet, I am totally and completely unsurprised.

Well considering the price 3rd and 4th liners seen to be commanding... move them. To say nothing for the fact that this team DOES have assets. Move Rakell, tell Rust you want to move him, move EK, move Letang if you can. Christ with these prices, move everything you can. The best you could do so far is Novak and Schenn? Eh.

KD is afraid to move anyone of value. Crosby is weighing on his mind. But his explanation will be, we couldn’t find the right deal.

This is the one time of year 3rd and 4th liners are actually valuable. That one defensive forward that can score a few goals could be the missing piece. The return won't be high, but addition by subtraction depending on the player.Gunnerfan wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 10:27 amSo what exactly are you expecting him to do with a bunch of 3rd and 4th liners to trade?Antonio wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 9:37 amI have to say so far, I am wildly disappointed in KD and how little he has done and how little that little was given the insane prices we KEEP seeing players being moved for. If that has truth to it, Dubas should be fired.Wyopen wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 10:44 amKD is afraid to move anyone of value. Crosby is weighing on his mind. But his explanation will be, we couldn’t find the right deal.

My reasoning for this is KD does not want a repeat of Crosby pouting like he did when Guentzel was traded. Especially if it involves BR or RR.Puck-Lurker wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 10:49 amIf that has truth to it, Dubas should be fired.Wyopen wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 10:44 amKD is afraid to move anyone of value. POJ is on IR and Pickering is in WBS. If we trade Grz we only have 5 active d men.Puck-Lurker wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 2:21 pmLetang, Karlsson, Graves, Grzelcyk, POJ, Shea, Kolyachonok, Pickering

I'd be fine playing with 2 defensemen if it meant the right kind of trades were happening

Hard to believe Gryz isn’t moveable. Otherwise an A+ for Dubas.

I hope we play some fire-wagon hockey the rest of the season.
Lose games 8 to 5 with Sid breaking point records and Rakell/Rust racking up big point totals.
Get a top 5 pick and cash in on RR and/or Rust for a big haul.

There wasn't any reason not to have flown a couple guys like Nieto and Aho, or any other two guys that would be scratched tonight for WBS, out to Vegas just in case. Also didn't see anything if Bunting was sent to WBS for their playoff roster but I might had missed that if it did happen.

I missed it as well, to be honest. Capwages is a nice website but doesn't keep as up to date as Capfriendly used to.

It blows my mind that Carolina didn’t do anything after trading away Rantenen.

They were making fun of Tulsky on NHL Network. He apparently told reporters that by time they finalized the Rantanen deal all the players they wanted were already traded.lemieuxReturns wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 7:44 pmIt blows my mind that Carolina didn’t do anything after trading away Rantenen.
Even if that's the case you don't tell the media that.

WBS wins 7-1. McGroarty with a goal and 2 assists. McGroarty with 4 goals and 9 assists in his past 10 games.
Larsson in goal. He had a shutout in his last game.

Its kinda mindblowing we didnt sort out goalie issue.. at least one of Ned, Gauthier, Jarry, Blom to be traded..
At the moment Murashov should be untouchable for future and our best goalie is Larsson imho, just because of more experiance and maturity compared to Murashov.
