Now watch the Pens sleepwalk the rest of the game.

Graves's pathetic play has caused all the D pair jumbling

Pens exerted a lot of effort on that shift with the goal, hopefully they can recover during intermission.

Karlsson with his 800th career point on that goal, quite an accomplishment.
Puustinen might have saved a goal with that back check.

This might be the most important point. If the Pens had used that money instead on a forward we might be looking at an entirely different season.

Yeah this was a big swing and miss by Dubas. I like getting Karlsson and Ned has been superb, so it’s not all bad.lemieuxReturns wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 7:39 pmThis might be the most important point. Anyone else notice Jake didn’t have any wrapping/cast/splint on either hand/wrist??

Graves and Harkins were the only horrible decisions, Phillips probably will be a useless pickup too. Nieto and Acciari would look better under a competent coach like they have in the past.E-Ramone wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 7:45 pmYeah this was a big swing and miss by Dubas. If he had surgery he might not need any.Skatingpen wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 7:46 pmAnyone else notice Jake didn’t have any wrapping/cast/splint on either hand/wrist??

Just logged on to say that! No cast, brace, nothing. He was even clenching, bunching up his hands in front of his face. Did not look injured - AT ALL. Wonder if he's out to keep up trade value?Skatingpen wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 7:46 pmAnyone else notice Jake didn’t have any wrapping/cast/splint on either hand/wrist??
I call bull. He was showing way too much movement for surgery of any kind in such short notice.

Re: Official GDT: Pens vs Isles 2/20/24
2 Teams that do not look like they are playing with any urgency or passion that Period.
Not going to get any Offensive impact with a 2nd Line as constructed.Phillips doesn't bring anything there.
Have to stop turning the puck over leaving the zone,Isles will start to cycle and get guys open if that continues.
Ned was steady as usual, sound positionally and very few rebounds.
Even with the lack of talent there is no excuse to not put forth effort or intensity, which was lacking most of the entire Period.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but all we are really
Missing is Jake and a couple 4th liners who kill penalties, right?
How does this team look so bad?

Well, here we go again. And of course, it's Brock Nelson.

Graves can't even be sheltered on the 3rd D Pair with turnovers galore.
Both EK and Pettersson got worked on that goal.

That defensemen shift makes Graves look like an all star.

Phillips is actually making the PP worse which I didn’t think was possible.

And how the hell is the midget on the PP instead of Puustinen?
