Pickering seems like he has some good vision and a plan of what to do as soon as he gets the puck. Reminds me of Goligoski a bit in that regard. Gonchar was great at it. Letang still hasn’t figured it out.

Hagel held Stvany’s stick to pull himself around to force a penalty. Pens should be on the PP first because of the stick hold.

And Lightning do more than anything Rust did for a solid 10 seconds on multiple Pens and no call. Great consistency.

Good read on Pickering. He also looks like an agile skater who can get in position to defend with deceptive skill.DelPen wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 7:33 pmPickering seems like he has some good vision and a plan of what to do as soon as he gets the puck. The dude looks comfortable if nothing else. I'd keep him on the roster, just take your pick for who gets to sit for him.Zalapski33 wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 7:42 pmGood read on Pickering. He also looks like an agile skater who can get in position to defend with deceptive skill.DelPen wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 7:33 pmPickering seems like he has some good vision and a plan of what to do as soon as he gets the puck. Blue collar period, got an opportunistic goal. Can't complain.

Good start. Pens pretty clean in their own end and Jarry has done fine on the few quality chances TB got. Killing off 2 penalties was big.

The overall attention to defending was solid that 1st Period.
Jarry with his best effort in a long time.

Re: Official GDT: Pens vs Bolts 11/19/24
And that’s kind of the issue, him and Brunicke looked better than almost every other defenseman in preseason and I don’t think anyone could say they weren’t among the 6 best who played while omitting Karlsson who was injured. But I don’t know what’s going on in WBS because it seems players aren’t developing there so I’m all for sending him back down if he will get better while also having Graves and Gryz continue the tanking. But if he’s going to not progress then I’d keep him up but then we have Sullivan making young players look worse too.Puck-Lurker wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 7:44 pmThe dude looks comfortable if nothing else. Re: Official GDT: Pens vs Bolts 11/19/24
Puljujarvi if he likes it here and resigns is a player that would be good to have in a rebuild. He can play any line you need him to and will score when he gets ice time. But seeing as how he’s dirt cheap and a pending UFA he could actually get a decent return at the deadline from someone looking for that depth now for 4th line scoring in the playoffs under a better coach.Pens4Life wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 8:08 pmSuck it Sully!Puck-Lurker wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 7:28 pmOkay.. sit Puljujärvi! A pretty good 40 minutes. I'm concerned they've shot the proverbial wad.

Don’t like the first minute of the third. It’s like Sully told them it’s blow the lead time.

That’s not high sticking, first, it’s not the requisite height and second, it’s literally stationary and the Bolt tries to kiss it or something dumb. Bad call.
