I am not saying that I know more about Italian Cusine, but having lived there for a while I can taste when a sauce is fresh and when it has lesser ingredients and perservatives. Being over there pretty much ruined "American Italian" for me. I am not knocking your personal preference if you like eating there fantastic, but to say that Pasta Too is good Italian Food wouldn't be entirely accurate.
Acutally you are saying that you know more about italian cusine
Tastes and preferences aside, I dont think that anyone can argue that Pasta Too is true Italian Food regardless if you like it or not.

how come? because you've had fresh italian food in rome? Some of us aren't as fortunate as you. If someone wants to call pasta too italian, who cares?

Well, I don't think anyone, especially me, is arguing that Pasta Too is equivalent to something you could find in freaking rome. Badhands simply said that she prefers more simple italian food. Of course, you could find me somewhere in this thread where anyone said HOLY CRAP, PASTA TOO TASTES EXACTLY LIKE SOMETHING YOU COULD FIND IN FREAKING TUSCANY.
It's nice of you to take the time and display some snobbery though. This thread really needed some. Pretty much every single restaurant in this thread isn't "true" food considering Pittsburgh is far from some sort of authentic cuisine hotbed.

The thread is asking for insight on Restaurant Recommendations, and I am simply giving my point of view. If I asked someone for a good Italian Restaurant recommendation and they told me Pasta Too I personally would be disappointed. If you are going to call Pasta Too Italian then you might as well call Chuck E Cheese Italian too. Chuck E Cheese has a leg up too because they have Skee Ball.
I grew up in Bethel and have never been to Pasta Too. I don't care much for Italian food either way, (authentic or not). But any restaurant that is known for their portion sizes is a huge red flag for me.

Hey now. Diners, Drive In's, and Dives disagrees with your last statement mister.

I was merely offering my opinion on good Italian food, again no problem that she likes Pasta Too. I am simply saying for someone who is expecting a better quality of Italian, they may be disappointed. Since I am such a "snob" I am going to correct you, Rome isn't part of Tuscany, its part of Lazio.
