Playoffs? Trouba & elbow have arrived. Intent is in the rulebook, but c'mon what ref will call it?
Disgusted that I wish the pens had a bit of this element. Just a bit. They haven't since Kunitz and Hornqvist left.

You know you’re a strong defensive team that plays with a lot of structure when Charlie Coyle is your first line center and you’re a contender.
Bruins do not have the depth on paper, but they find a way.
Florida taking it to them tonight. Once Florida gets Bennett back, they’ll be even more dangerous.

Not looking good for the Pens to get the Canes 1st round pick.
Jake is the only one that’s showed up.

Rangers have been diving at the slightest contact all series. You would think at some point the refs would get embarrassed to start calling the diving.

Funny. Carolina could really use a Bunting type in their forward lineup. All skilled guys, but nobody really plays with an edge or goes to the dirty areas. Need to get to the net and get in Shesterkin's kitchen.

The Officiating in this Series has been an absolute joke.
Really comes as no surprise. Before they even got started all the media discussion was about the Rags PP being the difference.Without a doubt the way the Officials have reacted to the countless dives by the Rags have made a huge impact.
But zero excuse for the terrible Canes PP every game.

Orlov. Yikes
Rangers are 7-0 in the playoffs.
Canes are same thing every year. Not good enough come playoff time.

Will be interesting if Brindamour isn’t welcomed back by the Canes if they get swept. I’ve heard some teams hold coaches accountable when good rosters don’t advance in the playoffs.

Orlov has really been the weak link on that Canes D Group. They miss Brett Pesce back there.KG wrote: Thu May 09, 2024 10:08 pmOrlov. Yikes

Carolina didn't play well against the Isles in 4 of the 5 Games in that series.
As much as I despise that entire Rags outfit they are getting a huge performance from Trocheck and Panarin has stepped it up.
Hopefully the Panthers get them out next round.

Hoping for the Panthers to beat the B's. They would have the better shot at taking the Rangers out. Especially if Bennett is back.Zalapski33 wrote: Thu May 09, 2024 10:14 pmOrlov has really been the weak link on that Canes D Group. They miss Brett Pesce back there.KG wrote: Thu May 09, 2024 10:08 pmOrlov. Lundell should be getting another 2 for embellishment for acting like he was getting hooked while holding a stick like that.
Want to stop this nonsense? Call the dives and start giving out 10 min misconducts for players not learning to play right.

Paul Maurice is part of the problem with the NHL thinking you can cheap shot your way to win. Same crap he was doing with the Jets he’s doing in Florida with the only difference is Florida has a lot more skill. He doesn’t deserve ****.KG wrote: Fri May 10, 2024 8:54 pmPanthers Rangers would be a solid matchup. Panthers all the way. Paul Maurice deserves a cup.
I have to laugh at the sneaky sucker punch Bennet did to Marchand that took him out of the game. Marchand fully deserves to have things done like that to him but the NHL is still not serious about doing anything to clean things up unless you have a player that plays on the edge AND also call the league out for not protecting players. Then you have your Matt Cooke get suspended 20 games for a legal hit under the rules even today.

Re: Other NHL Games >>>>>>>
Hockey isn't going to change. More teams have access to the physical players than the elite stars. After all these years watching, sport is too fast to call penalties as written in the book. This is the style winning the early rounds. Once you get to the finals- it changes, but that is 3 rounds of anything goes.
