Home Run Derby tonight

Miguel Cabrera, David Ortiz, Nick Swisher and Vernon Wells for the AL
Corey Hart, Matt Holliday, Hanley Ramirez and Chris Young for the NL

Kind of a sad looking field, I'll root for Miggy he's probably my favorite of the bunch.

I think they should announce the field in mid June and give them all a month to roid up. The derby was so much more fun when it was all big names and they were cranking them out all over the place.

I think he said something about it messing his swing up? Not sure though but I heard about two weeks ago he declined the opportunity to participate. I was hoping he'd be in it.

They need to do a retro Home run Derby.

Griffy and Big Hurt must participate.

I bet he could still at least hit a few home runs.

MLB Network's coverage of home run derby batting practice is amazing. The audio and video don't sync up for the commercials.

So glad that Ortiz decided to juice again after April. Baseball's not the same when announcers aren't slobbering over him.

I don't get to watch the end of it because Berman just said "that one is into the ozone...the ortiz-zone".

I'm not an ESPN guy, and not a Berman guy. I like the MLB network crew. Plesac is a rip...good group of guys, that have fun and put on a good, un-orchestrated show...

Yeah I enjoyed the batting practice show a lot more than the derby.

Yeah, I love MLBN. Plus they have Harold Reynolds, he was always my favorite guy when he was on baseball tonight. Ever since I got that channel I only watch ESPN if there's a game on I want to watch.

And if Berman is involved in anyway I mute the tv or keep it on a really low volume.
