I would have definitely grabbed him at #2.Kraftster wrote:Spezza over Doughty?? You're crazy. With 6 D Doughty would have been one player worth taking over Hall at #1.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
So are you all just checking the list to see who's already taken before making your picks? Is there an easier way to do that?

I was sure this draft would be further along than this by now...first time i've had a chance to get on a computer today.

Holy underpayment for Doughty. If beerman didn't laugh out loud when that trade went through, i'm stunned.

Underpayment? Even if I'm underrating doughty, kraftser effectively traded doughty for spezza and whoever he takes next. Great trade for him. I would have given a lot for that pick.

Doughty is a lot, far and away better than any player not kept, and better than a whole lot of players kept.TheHammer24 wrote:Underpayment? Yea, the hard thing about this draft is individually searching every player you want to see if he's taken lol.

So is Spezza and by trading doughty for a pick he got to keep Spezza. So he got the pick + Spezza.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
What does that have to do with it? Beerman didn't lose Spezza. Thus why I didn't say overpayment for a 4th pick. Beerman got the hugest steal i've ever seen in fantasy sports that wasn't collusion.

Well either way, I'm happy taking Patrick Sharp as it was really pretty much nards with two rookies taken right off the bat.

Interesting to see such different views on the trade. I'll take Spezza + Hemsky for Doughty given the fact that I own Mike Green, thanks.

I don't know. I think your man crush on awesome defensemen may be clouding your judgement. Who did beerman have to give up?

I think Troy said he wouldn't be around tonight and he might give someone some names, so, maybe someone has his pick. I can't remember who volunteered to take his list.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
Even if I agree beerman improved, Krafrtster improved more-by a lot.
I was going to propose a 3-way:
Beerman gets Anderson
I get a first and Spezza
Kraftster gets my 3rd
Both parties indicated they'd agree to those trades, but I doubt krafster would have agreed to improve my team.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
Kraftster has nothing to do with what i'm saying. Literally nothing at all. Beerman gave up what amounts to a 7th round pick for a player that scored 60 points as a 20 year old.TheHammer24 wrote:Even if I agree beerman improved, Krafrtster improved more-by a lot.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
beerman definitely improved. It was a win-win trade for both of us, I think. Viewed in a vacuum/taken out of context, Doughty is absolutely worth more than the 76th pick in a draft, but, by the same token, I think Spezza and Hemsky are worth more than Doughty. Keeper trades like this are always interesting when one team has keeper-worthy talent to spare.

Krafster, Beerman.
Would that 3 way have worked? Both you of you seemed open to the individual trades, I'm not sure if you would have if you knew I would have benefited. Would you have rather had Anderson or Doughty.
