The shoot out is really one of the only problems I've had with the show this season. It took the Neo Nazis like 16 bullets to get rid of about 8 of Declan's men. Suddenly they can't hit two guys 50 feet away that they had between their scopes?

But it was Michelle Maclaren's (who's my favorite BB director) last episode so I have a ton of faith in her. I'm guessing she was just showing the sheer power of the Nazis and giving Hank a dramatic send off. There is almost no plausible way that Hank and Gomie can survive that onslaught.

like (i think) kraftster said, if hank survives the shoot out, then the show looses a big chunk of credibility. but if he bites it, then i don't have any problems with the nazis writing their names in the dirt with bullets. there's an allowance of plot holes for the sake of drama. there's no allowance for the sake of story.

the bigger glitch (to me) is how powerful this group of guys is. they're nothing short of super criminals, which doesn't really jive with the petty theft with the pest company or their overall anonymity before they turned into a collective kaizer soze.

Well... Todd worked for a dude named Ira at Vamanos... it wasn't Jack's company. Jack and his guys are muscle, but all they've done is kill alot of people... mercenaries, plain and simple.

Yeah, and the killing of all those guys was then carrying out Walt's plan. They took over Walt's meth operation and are selling it through another person's contacts.

Not sure if anyone else has been watching Talking Bad, but Vince Gilligan's teaser for the next episode was something along the lines of "like the poem, you get to see the results of Walt's works and despair".

Not that I was expecting otherwise, but sounds pretty grim.

Good grief, my memories of last season are fuzzy.

Boom. Hank's dead. Purple-less Marie = Dead Hank

Django would scoff at that gunfight. Considering the 5000 missed shots, they probably weren't even aiming for Walt. .

I think she's worn black all season. Part 2 at least.

heard an interesting prediction. so hank and walt are both missing and/or presumed dead. walt's "confession" then makes the rounds, and hank's legacy becomes him as the meth king of the south west. that would be so twisted.

I can see this, and I can see Marie inadvertantly perpetuating the myth when she trys to bust Walt/Skylar. She's not known for being careful with words or thinking things out before acting.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Walt's NH driver's license give him Skylar's (and I guess Marie's) maiden name as his last name in the flash forward? That would indicate that Skylar is on his mind, not something he's trying to forget.

Doesn't really seem to jibe with the "Heisenberg" graffiti in the flash forward.

I thought at one time that he might kill skylar or Marie since he takes on characteristics of his victims. It does seem that family is off limits to him though.

That gunfight was terrible. Very A-Team like, where they went out of their way not to hit anyone. The Nazis had a ridiculous arsenal - multiple M4s and an AA-12 automatic shotgun (check out FPSrussia's Youtube video on it), which by itself would've shredded Walt and Gomie at that range. Bizarre, but Gilligan has a reason for it, I'm sure.

Airplanes colliding in the air? Totally reasonable. Walter blowing up and entire room and walking out unharmed? Yeah, that could happen. Gus standing next to a bomb and somehow half of his face is gone and the other half is fine and he's able to walk out of the room and straighten his tie before dying? Definitely! Gun fight for 10 seconds and no one has been hit yet? THAT'S RIDICULOUS!

Heard that attributed to Walt's picking up traits of his victims, not that he is thinking about her. Never considered, though, that Marie's maiden name is the same...

Anybody else think that Walt snagged the ricin to take himself rather than to give it to someone else? I can see Walt surviving the cancer long enough to go after the Nazis with his gun (for killing hank and whoever else dies soon), while taking the ricin right before the showdown to ensure his death as a last bit of redemption.

Ricin is not like Cyanide. Its usefulness relies in its untraceability, as it takes days to actually die from. I think Walt has something else in mind.

I also think Walt is way too proud to kill himself.

I don't know, the show started with him attempting suicide in the desert. I could see him doing it if it denied someone else the pleasure of killing him.

Hmm... so the complete series DVD set will include a 3 minute alternate ending. I am not sure how I feel about that.

That was the old Walt. The weak Walt. I consider Walt in early episodes and Walt in late episodes to be completely different characters.

Yeah, the current Walt is hardly the same guy at the start of the show.
