Marvel Smith was busted smoking weed in his St Vincent's dorm room. I've heard reports that Bell didn't and Blount did make the trip to Philly.

I must add that listening to TFMS discuss this is pretty funny.

Philly is a pretty big drug town, so I'm surprised that they didn't want to make the trip.

Bell and Blount were stopped on McKnight road near the Red Lobster. A motorcycle cop smelled a strong odor of marijuana, and figured out it was coming from the player's black camero. That is a high traffic area, and must have been a lot of smoke to pick out their individual car.

if they were rolling with 20 grams, i imagine they had probably smoked the rest of the ounce they bought between where they got it and where they got busted which is a fair amount of the devils lettuce in a short period of time

I think I understand the reason the Patriots cut Blount loose.

When I was young, I didn't always make the right/smart decision, but this is very dumb/bad.

SiriusXM's morning football show (Opening Drive) basically dedicated at least the first two hours to this, including a nice Bad Boys/Cops Theme Song mashed up with soundbites from Tomlin/Bell/Blount.

So... for the "out of the loop"ers like myself, anyone got a sentence or two good recap of camp so far and how the Steelers look? I only have the benefit of having seen a couple highlights, some pesky little thing called a baseball game (Hello, Watson, I'd like that 8th inning back please) had me miss the last one, and the first one wasn't on in our neck of the woods.

Re: Official 2014-2015 Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Sort of related to relantel's question, does anybody know of a good blog/message board for Steelers stuff? I used to go to Behindthesteelcurtain to get posters' insights on training camp, pre-season games, evaluation of latest roster moves, etc., but I feel like their discussion has gotten to be so homeric (not in the sense of epic Greek poetry, but being really skewed in the Steelers favor) that I don't trust them as a good source anymore. I feel like the discussion of the Pens on here is quite even-handed and sensible by comparison.

Check out Steel City Insider, not necessarily the message boards, but the "pay" section and some of their stuff.
I really like Jim Wexell's info and he seems to have a good realtionship with the players. I follow him on Twitter too.
