They are going to get down inside the 5 and run out of time

The last 4 minutes were possibly the worst management of time and timeouts in Steelers history.

The almost got to the Tomlin threshold of 9 wins so the rest doesn’t matter.pronovost19 wrote: Thu Nov 21, 2024 11:17 pmThe last 4 minutes were possibly the worst management of time and timeouts in Steelers history.

Gonna go 10-7. Get the 7 seed. Lose in first round. Typical season.

The two wasted timeouts were head scratchers.

Even worse than that was the 58 yard FG attempt in that terrible weather and 4th and short that failed. Rather than punting inside the 20, the Browns had the ball about midfield. Doesn’t matter that they did nothing. Crap weather, division rival with good defense, physical opponent, you play the field position game and that’s what the Browns did.
Tomlin coaches like he has no respect for the other team.

The fact that Jameis Winston was the best player in the game was not good at all. When players execute a bad game plan poorly it’s hard to win games no matter how bad the other team is.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Sneaky bad game for Russ. Numbers good, decision making very questionable. Some bad sacks, the worst on the first drive to set up the 58 FG miss.
False starts, late snaps on punts and field goals (which is really why they missed the first FG), they looked like a very poorly coached team in the first half. They were not ready.
The counters, or whatever they were running, with Fields just didn't work. They would have had much more success just running the play in the direction of the pulling guard.
And I have to say that Cleveland was doing us a favor by trying to score a TD with 1:30 left. We should have just let them and saved 30 seconds (and the stupid timeout earlier in the drive).

Thoughts on Daniel Jones for 2025. Okay that wasn't a serious question, but sheesh that was a bad draft pick, bad contract, situation that might keep the Giants down for years.

Daniel Jones would cause Bring Back Mark Malone signs throughout Steelers nation.

He's not as hopeless as that franchise is, I think he's better than the narrative. He's put up decent numbers in the past.Daniel wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2024 6:57 pmThoughts on Daniel Jones for 2025. Do I think he's a top 10 QB in the league? No, but if he was on a team like say the Colts, they'd have a winning record right now.

He just looks like a rookie when I see him play. Indecisive, tentative, bad decisions. I do agree that probably 90% of his issues are the Giants and we watched Justin Fields look nothing like he did with the Bears (for the most part). Maybe a Raiders, or a Rams (depending on Stafford), or Saints, heck why not Carolina if they get their coaching staff up to par, might be good fits for him. Doubt Indy because they seem set on Richardson, but Jones could be a temp fix.pfim wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2024 7:14 amHe's not as hopeless as that franchise is, I think he's better than the narrative. It's becoming the norm for NFL QBs to fail since they get rushed, just look at Darnolds in Minnesota as a recent example. I'd like to see Fields sit for 1-2 years then Wilson back him up as he ends his career, unless he retires.

As a Steelers fan, this was a local place to me that is a dive bar that catered to Steelers Nation. They were long listed on website searches for establishments that catered to any particular fan base of any professional team.
Have not been back for as least seven years, the bar must have changed owner's, and reviews reflect the demise.
Point being, that outside of a teams demographics, fans stop frequenting an establishment once the losses overtake the wins.
They also have a facebook page.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Can they do DPI and a personal foul for another 15? That was a lot worse than the usual grabbing someone’s hands to stop them from catching a ball.

How in the hell is that not holding, pass interference, or any number of penalties against Cincinnati?

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Pickens being a world class a-hole makes officials not want to call a penalty on that.
